Customs Description Fields

When filling out customs description fields that all have the same harmonized code, but are variants of each other (color, size, step 1/2, etc.) is it recommended to use the same description as the generalized harmonized code description, or your product description from your website?

I was informed by a FedEx agent that for ease of customs, matching the harmonized code description is the best choice. But this leads to 10+ items with different line items, but same description, harmonized code, etc.

In my experience you can/should be very broad in your descriptions with customs. I don't think including its color will make any difference. Just my opinion though, in your position I might take the advice of the carrier.
