It is a legal requirement that EORI numbers are used on shipping goods from the UK to EU and Rest of the World. This field has been implemented granted, but still requires manual intervention to apply the EORI to each order, not an easy task when shipping 1000's of parcels a week off shore. Can this not be automated by rule, that when shipping to EU, the EU EORI number is selected, and when shipping outside of the EU (Rest of World) the UK EORI is used?

The Shipments section has this column available, but it would be helpful to also have this in Orders. It would make open orders more scannable (by eye) and sortable based on the print status.
For example... If a customer wants to change their order, and we see the packing slip has been printed, we know it's being picked and we need to stop it before it ships. And so on.

The biggest game changer in V3 is the Scan and Verify feature. This alone is helping us to make the decision to stay with SS after making the decision to leave because this feature is so crucial to eliminating misshiped orders.
Just one down side, the ability to check rates in real time is no longer available during label creation in the Scan and Verify screen and that feature alone is priceless.
I have attached two images displaying how V2 has the option during label creation and how V3 does not have that option in the same checkout process.
Until the Postage Calculator is available in the Scan and Verify tab, we will have to stay on V2 but would love to move to V3 and keep being a customer to SS if this feature is implemented. I could also be mistaken and this feature may already exist in the setting somewhere but I have been unable to locate the setting.
Thanks for taking the time to read and consider our request.

Scan barcode to print shipping label
This is a production line workflow.
We create our shipments via your API ahead of time. So on a given Monday we might have 1,000 shipments already set up that are shipping throughout the week.
This is what we want to do:
- Create a barcode associated with each shipping label
- We print barcodes and place on each box on our production line
- Person scans barcode which automatically finds its matching shipping label and automatically prints the shipping label
It's critical that no clicking or keyboard shortcuts would be required. We need the act of scanning the barcode to be the only thing required with the result being the correct shipping label printed.
As far as I can tell, your software already has all the pieces you'd need to do this pretty easily. It's just a matter of connecting the dots and enabling it as a feature.
This is definitely more of a production line automation, and I bet it would be valuable to customers doing higher volumes.

In the past, you used to allow a 1-time print settings override by holding down the Create Label button. This would bring up the Settings box and you could choose a differnt setting for that particualr label. Now the easiest way is to create the label with your Remembered Selection, then go to the Shipments tab, check the box for the shipment and there you can go to Print, then hold down the Labels selction in the pulldown menu. This is a waste of time and paper.
We normally print to label, so prefer to have that setting Remebered, but periodlically we need to create a PDF only for a drop shipment, to send to our vendor.
Please bring back the option to override print settings by holding down the Create Label button in the Order Details box.
