Using the Simple Bundles app on Shopify to funnel in bundle contents and it's working well so far.

We use the Simple bundles app to pass in bundle info from Shopify

If you're on Shopify, you could use Simple Bundles (this one https://apps.shopify.com/simple-bundles). Bundle products and info go straight into ShipStation.
