Currently during an exchange, we reship the original order and then have to change the packing slip by hand writing the changes. While we could create manual orders for each of these, right now customer information does not automatically fill in all of the time when creating an order. When this happens we can go to the customers tab and then search for the customer and then create an order from there, but this seems like an extra step. It would be convenience to have a "duplicate order" button that would create a new order to the same recipient directly from the orders or shipments tab.

We need this as well. With the ability to make changes (add or subtract items).

I would Agree with Thomas, Either from the Orders tab, Or from the customers tab. If we could simply find the customer in the customer tab and select the order and click duplicate, this would save so much time with the RMA process

This would be very helpful. Currently I add the original order to the Loading Dock and then when ready ship, add all other shippable orders to the Loading Dock (I otherwise do not use Loading Dock), then Ship all from the dock. Since I often need to edit the order details, this is insufficient so I am reduced to using the Add a note to the customer feature. Also, if I lose my session, the Loading Dock is lost.

Yes - this would be very much appreciated

I NEED THIS. It would be really useful in my record keeping system. It would be great if we could select an order and hit a button that re-creates it and is recorded as a different kind of order in the order reports (for clear accounting purposes).

yes please! need this, they always end up asking, "did you ship the exchange size I wanted "

Us too! ebodyboarding.com!

Much needed feature! Good to have the capability to link the exchange to the orig order without confusing the fact that the orig order is not inadvertently shipping twice. Doing this independent of the marketplace is important.

YES. Manually entering an exchanged order is really inefficient. In Auctane there is simple button to duplicate the order that creates a new label. Why does it need to be so cumbersome in ShipStation? And while we're it, unless I'm not understanding something, any manually entered order can only be sent with the existing settings in the manual channel. So any exchanges that I need to re-ship for my 4 other channels always have the wrong header and information.

Hello! This is a great idea. Please add this feature. Thanks!

We have certain frequent but irregular orders that we enter in through Manual Orders from time to time. It would be great to just be able to copy and duplicate a previous order, maintaining the product mix, prices, and quantity, recipient and address info, etc. This would also make bulk orders easier if we were just doing a few and didn't want to bother with a CSV.

This feature would be perfect for fulfilling crowdfunded or Kickstarter rewards! In fact, that is why I need it this time. It is also helpful for wholesale orders and custom manufacturing orders.

Rather than re-printing the label for a processed order, or re-shipping the same order by processing two shipments, I would use this feature to make multiple orders that had the same details. It would save me in making new orders that have the same items, or the same recipient, or both, but are spaced out in time.

My company doesn't use all of the great features offered by ShipStation. We don't list our products within ShipStation so every order that is imported into ShipStation shows only (1) item ordered. If we need to split the shipment due to size, we are unable to do so without creating a new order. We would use the "duplicate order" feature to to this. Also, we would use it for re-shipping lost or damaged shipments.

We'd like to use this feature for customer service. When an order is lost in the mail we'd use "duplicate order" to quickly spin up a new order and ship it out. This saves us from having to manually select the SKU's, quantities, shipping address, courier type, etc. The manual process has become quite time consuming as we've scaled. It's also helpful in the event our fulfillment team doesn't complete an order properly. If a customer complains about a missing item, again it would be much easier to simply duplicate the order and get it dispatched.

The ability to duplicate orders would be a great benefit to our company. We would use them primarily for replacement orders. While the reship feature offers the functionality for shipping replacements, we prefer creating duplicate orders so it is easy to see that a replacement was sent, vs opening the order to see if it has multiple shipments. Please note that as it currently stands, we create a manual order with the information required, though the original order comes from one of our online marketplaces, and similar results from the duplicate feature would be ideal. For example, if an order came through on eBay and we shipped it out and then later needed to send a replacement, it would be ideal to go into the eBay order, click duplicate and then have a new dialog come up to create a new manual order, with all shipping and item information filled out. The ability to adjust the items and enter a new order number would be nice as well. Thank you.

To reship an order I do what you just suggested but the only problem is I need to remember to check the "Do Not Notify Marketplace" box for my Amzon.com orders. I need to do this because the new tracking number will replace the old tracking number in Amzon and then Amazon thinks my order is late to the customer which reflects negatively Delivered on time score. I don't want me or my employees to always have to remember this step when we send out a replacement part to a customer.

Cloning orders (such as for a replacement) would be a of great benefit to our organization. The customer has already taken the time to enter their info. Duplicating the work flow just raises the margin for error. So if the order was cloned into a new order but the seller could make adjustments such as removing or adding items (helpful with concession products) before Saving and making active in the system that would be great.

agree with all others - re-ship is not as good as duplicate order, with all external notifications turned off. would be nice if we could set in config a suffix put on to the order number. like "_dupe"

We ship a lot of glass items and no matter how well we pack them a few always get broken. It's usually only a few broken items in a shipment so we just replace the broken items, not the whole shipment. I have to create a new manual order with the replacement items. It would be nice to duplicate the original order and change the quantities to the number of items we actually need to replace.
