Please make an option to have the scale activate upon opening an order. Just as if you had clicked on the scale button. Every little bit of time savings helps!

Activate Scale Upon Opening an Order
Hey there,
Great idea! While we don't currently have a setting to automatically trigger the scale read the moment an order is opened, I am submitting this directly to our Product team as a feature request.
In the meantime, if you want to eliminate having to reach for your mouse to click that scale button, here are two click-free workarounds you can use today:
1. Hot keys
You can trigger the scale using your keyboard or a barcode scanner!

Hotkey: Just press the W key on your keyboard while the order is open to instantly read the scale.

Barcode: Go to Analytics > Reports > Hotkey & Barcode Scan Actions, and print out the Quick Reference Sheet with the 'Read weight from scale' barcode. You can tape it to your desk and just zap it with your scanner instead of clicking.
2. The 'Scan to Print' Workflow
If you use our Scan tab, the scale will act automatically! If you select your scale from the dropdown in the Scan tab, ShipStation will automatically pull the weight from the scale the exact moment you scan an order's packing slip barcode.
I hope one of those tricks helps shave some time off your shipping process while I get your official feature request in front of the engineers!
