I Would also Like such a feature. I would need to Split drop shipped items off an imported order so customers do not get confused that we we sent all of there order to them even though a couple of items where drop shipped. We Receive Phone calls on this often as employees sometimes forget to split before printing shipping label. It would be helpful to automate either a split or removal of drop ship items from a Imported Order.

I have oversized products i would like to automatically split out, i have them tagged accordingly. I have products being fulfilled by a different user. i can assign the order to that user based on those products, but i can't split those products out unless its manual. I would love more rules around splitting orders, based on tags, product information etc.

Please create an automation action that automatically splits shipments. Our site has two products that cannot be packaged together. It is absolutely crucial for us to have this automation.

This would be a super helpful feature! Our packing room manager has to spend hours each day splitting orders. We ship alcohol in both wine bottles and in cans, and if someone orders both cans and bottles, we have to ship them in separate boxes in order to keep the product safe. It would be easy to write a rule based on product SKUs if you added a feature to split orders in bulk or to do it automatically!

I have products shipping from different locations, so I'd like to set an automation rule to split the order based on product tags.

We ship different sku's from different locations and spend a lot of time splitting the orders. The sku's are assigned by vendor in shopify. We need a way to automate splitting orders by, e.g., the first four letters of the sku. It will save us SO much time. Please add this feature.

I have 2 different types of products - one is Samples, of which you can order as many as you want and they will always be sent in a single shipment. The other is our Case quantity product, which, no matter how many you order, it's always separate shipments. It's crazy time consuming to manually separate the Case quantity orders - some of them are 8-10 cases! I'd love a way to auto-separate. If I can't find this, I'll have to go in search of another shipment manager, as our business is increasing and I can't take the time to do this manually every day!

I'd like to be able to automate splitting shipments in the automation pane.

A way to filter products would be ideal. Be able to tag the products that are in the warehouse vs dropshipped products would be a life saver! Only put the items that are in the warehouse on the order based on tags.

We have a similar situation with one of our products. It can not be shipped with anything else and requires entirely different packaging.

There are many orders with different items with different dispatch dates, these orders need to be split one by one which takes quite a bit of time. If we could just make an automation rule that would split the orders as they are imported. Frankly I am surprised that there isn't a rule like this already

We have thousands of pre-ordered items that customers purchase with products that we already stock. We have manually split ship these because the pre-ordered items ship 4 months after the others. We also sell posters and t-shirts, customers purchase those items together. We have no way to ship them together because you cannot put a t-shirt in a poster tube so we have to constantly manually split ship those. It would be helpful to thousands of companies if there was a way to automatically split ship items based on sku or attribute. Please help!!!!

I can't believe such an important feature is missing in the first place and also taking forever to implement. Soon, we might have to hire one person exclusively to do the split shipments. Our business model doesn't allow shipping together. We must split every single multiple item order we receive everyday. Software can do this job in less than a second. We love Shipstation but we might have to find another software if we can't solve this problem soon.

We have orders that are partially filled by Amazon and partially filled in-house. Being able to automate splitting shipments is very much needed.

This would be a tremendous help with our orders. The number of our orders that will need to be split will be doubling over the next few months. Please add this feature! It will save so much time and will increase our accuracy. Thank you!

Admin responses show this was "planned" and on the roadmap 7 months ago. Any updates on this feature being released? Even an automation rule that says If an order is imported with greater than one order items, split shipment into single order items would be fine at this point.
