Amazon sellers -- Seller Fulfilled Prime orders cannot be combined since there is no option to mark as shipped on the Seller Central page for these specific orders.
Any news? Evidently not. Now, they are going in reverse actually. Before their most recent updates, you could print shipping labels with one click. Now, you have to go through a 4 or 5 step process to print labels. Great going shipstation. I guess you made some things so easy that you figured the only way to continue to change things in the name of "updating", that you are now making it harder and more time consuming to use the site.
I need this feature.
How often do you combine orders each week?
33% of my orders on another website i have use an upsell which is done after the main sale goes through which causes 2 transactions and 2 shipping orders to go to shipstation
Are there times you do not want to combine orders even though they are going to the same location?
No.
Feel free to add any more information
An easy way to assist this is to be able to add a rule, such as if two orders happen within 15 minutes then ship to the same address if the shipping address is the same. or something like that.
Why do we still have to do this manually? This automated functionality should be a no-brainer. There is already a job that highlights the orders possible to combine...but making the users go through them all manually one by one is ridiculous! Please prioritize this enhancement request!
Mainly because they don't care. As you can see by this thread, they have been "reviewing" this request since 2015. Lol. Just yesterday, after preparing two different shipments with two labels and shipping costs, I realized both were for the same customer. So I had to cancel one and ship them both together. I had to file for a refund on one of them. I didn't notice the same name. Thanks shipstation!!!
Do we have to say we'd pay a little more for this feature to get it done? Come on now. The code is clearly already written. We get alerts as to what orders can be combined, just add on the extra little bit of doing it for us. Please? I've been using Shipstaton for years now and I haven't ever gotten an update that was beneficial to me..
Considering it's approaching 10 years since this feature was first requested, I think we can stop holding our breaths on this one. They make it sound complicated on their last response here from January. It's really not that complicated. There is a feature that can do it now if you do it manually. It ALREADY combines the fields.
So the html to do that is already there. It just needs to be changed to do is automatically. It's really not that complicated. And it for sure doesn't take 10 years worth of discussion to happen. We have always gotten canned responses on this.
They have done updates on the site many times since this feature was reqested that I know require a ton of design and html. Yet they make this sound like it's rocket science to get this one VERY small, yet very useful feature.
To this day, I sometimes forget to check for duplicate orders from the same person and print multiple labels. Just to go back after that and cancel one of the labels. It's a major pain. It gets tiring being given the same old answer of basically, we are thinking about it.
There have been features added because 1 person requested it. Countless features have been added that MAYBE 1 out of 100 users needs. Yet, we can't get this done when almost every seller will use it. Some daily, some not that often. I just don't get it.
Hi, eBay already does this in its bulk shipping option. You are costing me extra in unnecessary postage, plus a monthly subscription. I thought the goal was to reduce postage costs?!?
Customer puts 2 items in their cart from ebay. Purchase them at the same time. Them ship station creates 2 separate shipments? Why?!?
As others have said...this feature is a "no brainer" to add to Shipstation. I'm not sure what could be technically so complicated since Shipstation already has enough logic to flag duplicate orders. Why do I need to read the alert and press the button manually!?!? The excuses really don't make any sense.
This reply is to robepp, since we aren't allowed to click reply on a persons original message anymore on here. Yeah, you're right. As previously mentioned, just look how many years they have been "reviewing" whether they should add this feature. They do make it sound like it's rocket science that takes decades of planning and web design to happen. Anyone with even basic website design experience knows better. That reason might have flown in the 90's when people were still new to how the internet works, but NOT today. This needs to happen immediately. There is absolutely no reason to not add this. They can make it so that it automatically combines orders and if you want to split them, of course, that should be able to be done too. You can have a choice whether you want orders automatically combined or not. I am betting 90% of users will choose the automatic option.
Seriously, ShipStation; where is this already? It's been years and it's a fundamental feature offered by most default-shipping programs like ebay and amazon. C'MON!
