I need to have package types also on the pick list so we can grab the right number of boxes / envelopes / priority mail boxes, etc.
Also the ability to sort custom orders in their own section or pick list.
I want to customize the title at the top of the pick list, so I can create several unique pick list for a given batch of orders selected. I want to be include certain dynamic fields in the pick list, so that (for a given batch of orders) each unique pull list will tell that warehouse department exactly what to pick in order to fill that order. Ie. the title of the pick list would be: Pick List. Subsequently, I want a way to be able to filter down the products displayed on that pick list, for a given order batch. Essentially - it's a customized pick list, based on order batch, where the products listed are filtered by warehouse department.
Barcode. Need barcode on pick list. (preferably SKU). If you cannot decide what barcode to put there, make it a selection/dropdown so we can pick from the following:
Custom 1
Custom 2
Custom 3
Item SKU
Product SKU
(Or just "SKU" and use whichever is in place)
We would also like custom pick list -- but to help us in how many boxes we need to pull for our coffee. Right now we have four box types:
Small: for any coffee at or below 12oz
Large: for 16oz coffee
Long: for 5lb coffee
Cube: for multi-coffee orders (2x8oz say or 1x16+1x8)
So we end up having to export the orders and count their packages.
We would love to see a digital interactive pick list that can be used on phone or tablet and allows for options like notes, in stock and out of stock checkboxes, current inventory numbers, there is no need for stacks of paper anymore.

Yikes! Please allow the pick list to be customizable (like the packing list). With such varying businesses and operation flows, this truly is non negotiable in terms of customer satisfaction. We need to be able to communicate within our company exactly what we need. In addition, the current format is very small typeface and there are so, so many lines on the sheet... aside from actual content customization, the formatting should be editable for optimal user experience. My entire staff can get lost in all the unnecessary lines that this sheet contains, making it difficult to identify what order it's from (the top or the bottom summary?).
Basically, make this customizable please. It is detrimental to our experience, and even prompting us to consider other services.
Yes, this idea has merit (per the ShipStation comment in the beginning). Just being able to print a minimalist pick list on my thermal printer - SKU, Description, Qty - would speed things up and reduce waste. The current pick list is mostly empty space.
For us specifically, customizable picklists would allow us to put product barcodes to scan to remove items from inventory which is ideal because ShipStation offers the best picklists for the type of batch orders that we do.
This request has tons of votes and comments--plus there are a number of other feature requests that are basically more specific versions of this same request. When will this be put into the road map?!?!
Hey @Becky Andrysiak Lobel's of New York thanks for checking in on customizable pick lists. We're still researching this, in what ways would you like your pick list to be optimized?
We are able to edit our packing list except under our Top Shelf channel. Once we connected to Top Shelf, the edit feature disappeared. We need it back so that we can make the necessary adjustments and additons
Our needs include adding category/subcategory columns to the picklist and then being able to sort by category (and sort by subcategory within category).
Additionally, we'd like to be able to produce multiple pick lists that make up 1 batch of orders. For example, if Order 123 contains item X from warehouse area A and item Y from warehouse area B, my area A and area B need separate pick lists.
In our case, we would like the option to shrink the amount of space being taken so that we could fit more of our pick lists to one page rather than printing 2. It would also be nice to be able to print the pick list on the 4x6 labels. Having a similar customization function to the packing slips would be nice.
Would love to be able to see Inventory Warehouse and Location print out on the Pick Ticket so you can hand the document to the warehouse staff and they will know where to pull the item from (shelf etc).
ShipStation is great, but there are a couple features that would really help my company such as:
Labels and picklists being able to have more than 3 line items. Currently, if a customer consists of more than 3 line items, those exceeded line items will be cut off and won't print. It would be nice for those exceeded line items that don't fit on the same page as the shipping label to be printed on the following sheet.
Also, another great thing would be that the sku barcodes can be printed on the picklist. The current options can include the picture of the item, but in our case a picture is not needed at all.. a barcode is as we use scanners to pick. (We end up having to export order numbers from S.S to another site to have them printed with barcodes but it would be so much more convenient to do all work from just one site)
Hey Shipstation -- how about giving us the option to add in ATTRIBUTES to PICK LIST items? I need to see descriptions from Attributes in my pick list items to know what to order at a glance!!
We would love the ability to customize the pick list. 2 things that would make our life instantly better is to have the batch number and page numbers included. We have multiple people pick sometimes and have to write these on manually to make sure all was picked and know what batch is picked so we can process it when all items have been pulled.
We need to print pick list on a thermal 4x6 label (each item/order per label). Also, need to be able to select what attributes to print: SKU, Item name, Order#...

We need the pick list to be generated and then have the option to have each pick order printed on individual thermal labels (customizable sizes, 4x6). We need this labels slapped onto the box once the item has been picked and scanned. Currently we print the whole list on 8x11 label paper, cutting board from Walmart and a knife to slice the paper line by line. Very silly seems like we should be able to print it in the format we need like every other pice of software that I have seen do this.
Please allow us to customize the packing slip with code, like we can do with the packing slips. I would like to the pick list to print out two ways, one being to count the totals of SKU's and the other to be printed per order and have boxes that we can have our associates write QTY and Emp ID# to verify. If this was shared in 2012, lets get a move on with this, regardless you guys have a great opportunity here.
