Why we can explort AliasSKU but cannot import? Is it so hard to do the opposite or you are too busy to handle that?

Lets say that I manually added all those products one by one. Is there any backup for this? Lets say we exported the file to keep aside as a backup, next time when we import it back, still all the alias will be gone, right?

Yes I need this feature also! It really seems odd that you cannot just had the alias as a header and if i add one for an item and bulk upload why can't it add it?! I have 6,000 items and 3,000 are on amazon and diff skus, 1,200 already sold and I ONE BY ONE HAD TO combine! So now I want to STOP that, so the 1800 items left I want to just do in bulk, but SS is saying no I manually have to click 1,800 items and add each one. Or as the item gets ordered, I have to search each day and merge as it gets ordered. This just seems so redundant, to have a field to use and advertise it, it exports on the item sheet, but you cant edit or upload via bulk.

Is there another shipping program that allows you to do a FSKU and alias SKU. This is something simple and it reduce a lot of work.

Either this, updating sku aliases via the API, or both would be a huge quality of life improvement for anyone who has multiple distributors with overlapping catalogs.

This is desperately needed. We have hundreds of Alias and maintaining them, adding, updating takes us forever. The issue is only going to get worse as we grow and add more inventory items.

Any update on this feature? Just discovered it was not possible but is definitely needed.

Yes, we need this feature badly. We have product listed on Google Express with orders coming through Google Merchant Center. Firstly, there is no integration with Google Merchant Center for ShipStation, but that is a separate issue. Google Merchant Center assigns it's own product ID to products. When the orders come through, the Google ID does not match any of our SKU's housed in ShipStation so a new product with no product details is created causing confusion when we are pulling order items. We've tried to use the Alias's to solve this problem, but we have over 15,000 SKU's that would need the Alias populated. We attempted creating a BOT program to automate this, but there were bugs and it was entirely successful. If there was just a way to import these Alias's to connect them to products via .csv file, that would be absolutely great. Please consider this feature add on.

Shipstation absolutely should be able to use alias Skus for imported manual orders. It makes no sense that an automatic store is able to convert alias sku to the default sku, but imported orders can not. We use stores that are no compatible with Shipstations API, so we have to use the Manual import and separate our own Manual stores. This is very time consuming is we have to convert each product SKU.
