any updates here?? as this is definitely needed!

  • February 26, 2016
Thank you for the added info and continued patience! At this time we don't have an update here as this idea touches many areas in ShipStation, we want to make sure we build a solid solution that will provide value to all users.

I'm glad to see this idea has been presented. We are having a serious issue with being unable to designate value in currencies other than US dollars. We currently sell in marketplaces that allow customers to purchase products in their own currency (Canada and Australia, for example) but those shipments are submitted to an exchange rate at customs anyway. I look forward to a solution from the awesome minds at Shipstation!

We opened up Sales Channels to AMZ-UK, CA and MX in 2015. This lack of functionality with not even a realistic/effective work around is extremely frustrating. I would agree with other users that this is NOT a feature enhancement, rather a bug that needs to be addressed immediately, even offer up some type of workaround until you get the time to address properly. As it stands now, I have to look for an alternative shipping source to handle these sales channels. Please give this the attention and priority that it deserves.

Please add world currencies! We sell on Amazon.CA but all our CAD orders are showing up like they were in USD- totally WRONG!! Please fix this bug ASAP. It's very bad to give wrong information to Customs.

Hey everyone, we'll continue researching the best ways that currency conversion could be handled. Lots of good information from you guys on this. Keep on voting and adding your personal insight as to why this feature would be a great addition to our interface. Every bit helps, and we thank you for your patience!

This bug was first posted 2.5 years ago and has been under review for nine months. There really isn't that much to research so you've obviously put this on the backburner and haven't lifted a finger towards consideration or implementation. It's beyond me how you can be so cavalier with such a serious bug. You thanked us for our patience, but no one is being patient, we just have no choice. We're just seething with frustration.

This is incredibly backwards. ShipStation imports orders from GLOBAL marketplaces yet where is the support for this currency? The info. is listed in respective Amazon API but where is the currency of the order in SS? Is this the most ridiculous thing ever? If a customer paid EUR for an item, why does SS show this as USD?

Need this!

Definitely need this! We get many orders from Canada and have had customers ask us for their total in Canadian currency.

For international marketplaces (Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk. Amazon.jp, ect) where transactions occur in foreign currencies, ShipStation imports the transaction and treats all currencies as US dollars. For example, an item that sells for 20.00 Canadian dollars on Amazon.ca, is imported into ShipStation as a 20.00 US dollar transaction. However in reality, the sale was for about 15.45 US dollars. This creates several issues: 1) Reporting under the ShipStation Insights tab is not accurate. 2) Customs declaration forms are generated with incorrect values and are not compliant with federal/international regulations. 3) Recipients of these orders are charged excessive customs and duties fees.

Hi! I am going to go on and merge this idea with an existing product idea. Your 3 votes will be added to this existing idea!

I love this idea!

This is especially terrible with Amazon Mexico! I got an order for $625 and it threw everything out of whack. It was actually 62500 pesos!

  • September 1, 2016
Actually conversion is a nice idea but for now we really just need it to report the proper symbols from the appropriate marketplace. That way I won't think someone paid $625 dollars when it was actually 62500 pesos. Then the more challenging task of conversion can be worked on later.

Currency conversion is very much needed as we're selling on eBay UK and the packing slips show US Dollar instead of Euro. This creates confusion and defeats the purpose of automation. For now we are forced to print UK packing slips separately.

Currency conversion is very much needed especially for the Amazon.mx it shows me product total for $1,977.28 USD when its actually mexican pesos, and thats roughly $100 USD. Hope you guys can get this done before the holiday comes around

Just processed my first International shipment through Amazon UK and needless to say it is throwing my data off! Either convert the amount to USD or have a currency field that reflects accurately. Thanks

when we ship a 999 Aussie dollar item to Australia it is ESSENTIAL that the amount shown on the customs invoice is 999 AUD ... not some goofball exchange rate into GBP or USD ... it MUST be 999 AUD, reason: 0-999 AUD is duty free, 1000 AUD and above gets stung for around 300AUD in taxes. We have 3 magento stores, 1 in GBP, 1 in USD and one in AUD ... and soon one in Euro .. it is ESSENTIAL that when Shipstation imports from Magento it uses the right currency for each order. You MUST track the order value and the order currency.

Any update on this? Sorely needed!

We sell worldwide and need to have the proper currency appear on the export documents. It looks like ShipStation only imports the base currency from Magento. (we use 4 currencies, CND, USD, Euros, and GBP) Using the base price is This is useless for us. It is very important that the export document be accurate and we are not able to make this happen with the current version of ShipStation. Can you make this happen?

Same issue here. Need the custom forms commercial invoice to display currency code as USD and not CAD. Is there a way this can be changed manually by SS in the backend.

  • May 26, 2017
Guys, this is 4 frickin' years now ... are you going to support international shipping or not? If you are then it is ESSENTIAL that you create customs declarations in the correct currency to match the invoice, if the invoice is in CAD, the customs declaration has to be CAD, if the invoice was USD, the customs declaration has to be USD ... its not difficult. 4 years now?? if you are not going to support international shipping, just say so and we can all try and find a provider that is.

Reference how Google does it in their spreadsheets. I can run a quick Google Finance formula at any time ( for instance '=GoogleFinance("CURRENCY:GBPUSD")') and this will convert over immediately. Just make a way to utilize Google API's and take a snapshot of the currency rate at the moment of sale. If you could find a way to utilize someone like X-Rates historical data it may be useful too (go here: http://www.x-rates.com/historical/) Doesn't seem to be that difficult though, and yes, it is VERY frustrating that this still isn't implemented (seems kind of 101 necessity); been waiting over 2 years for this myself (others longer I think).

Currency support please! As the number of selling channels increases, we're getting all kinds of different approaches to currency from the different marketplaces, and we can't always change the currency in the marketplace, such as with Amazon. Right now my numbers are just importing wrong from Amazon, so currency support would be greatly appreciated.
