As a 3PL company, we are frequently making new stores for new clients which we then add to our 3PL enabled store. Previous to last year, in order to verify card info for purchasing postage we would call Stamps.com, verify info and move forward. Since last year Shipstation has added Plaid verification, which is an absolute nightmare for a few reasons. 

  1. It requires us to have our new clients, many of whom are touring musicians, take time to try to go through the verification process. 
  2. The system is bugged, almost every time I either fail to receive a verification email, or the client receives an error message while verifying.

It would make way more sense to just have the salespeople (who call every time a new store is opened), be equipped with a way to verify info over the phone, or direct new accounts to a call in line for verification. Leave the ai systems out of it, which will be far more expedient and safe.
