I'm fairly new to ShipStation, but it seems one of the obvious enhancements would be to allow customization of the packing slips without needing HTML skills...essentially, exactly the same interface available to edit the email templates.

Yes I agree adjusting packing slips is very important. I don't have time to learn HTML i'm too busy running my business. Please if you can make it easier for us to adjust packing slips please do it. thank you.

Would love to have that, too.

Yes! please, this should be a standard by now.

We need a visual packing slip designer for those of us not fluent with HTML, or any computer language of that sort.

I had to get a staff member to do it because I could not figure out your HTML editor (and I have built multiple web sites, although I am no programmer). Your HTML editor needs to either accept third party edits so we can use a wysiwig editor or you need to build one in. I am interest in putting more graphical items on my packing list as well as my shipping label. For example, Bold, Italic fonts in Colors. Some of the most important things are visual instructions that can grab peoples attention - 90 percent of people will not read a shipping label instruction or packing list instruction. You can look at my current packing list or shipping label for examples - I provide instructions I need the receiver to follow if the box is damaged - I want them to notice that as soon as they look at it.

Simple as that. Your email template editor allows the user to view via the HTML editor or an easy editor - why can't the packing slips have that too???? :(

In the interest of time, a WYSIWYG editor would shave hours off of time for myself. We have to create a packing slip that is unique to each client, and just being able to drag and drop fields would make my life so much easier!

'@Admin - the idea of adjusting the label location on integrated packing slip ( http://support.shipstation.com/forums/330429-product-feedback-fresh-ideas/suggestions/10746279-adjust-the-location-of-the-4x6-shipping-label-on-t ), could be combined into this idea, once WYSIWYG is implemented. I would really like to see this happen, sooner rather than later.

I will add that I have recently realized it would be good if this option was available for your label printing feature as well - I print a custom script on all my shipping labels in BOLD font - "See packing list instructions if box is damaged" - right now I have no option to modify the font - if available I would print that instruction in Bold, underlined, red font so it would stand out on the label and be the first thing a receiver sees.

Its a little confounding to not have a WYSIWYG editor in this day and age. Its 2016 guys! Time to implement this, stat! I had to log in remotely on my day off to make the change because my mom- my business partner- needed to change a time-sensitive message that was on all our packing slips.

Ain't nobody got time for that html shiznit yo lol I'm just sayin'.. WYSIWYG editing would definitely help customize packing slips much like the email editor. Just push the button already and make it happen! :p

I could not believe how complicated editing a packing slip would be in ShipStation. I don't understand why this would have to be a feature that has to be requested. Who has time to learn HTML when we already pay for ShipStation service...

Thanks for your updates, @everyone! If you haven't already, what types of customizations are you looking to make? @Jamie.Calder - Is there something specific you're looking for? Most of the basic packing slip edits require a simple copy and paste from our example articles and don't require much HTML knowledge. You can also download copies of the packing slip as you're editing them to watch your progress along the way.

After 1 year I can't believe you are still asking for comments on this. You obviously don't deem it important enough based on the response to implement. Re: Jaime Calder's comment - he probably wants to change fonts and styles - bold, colors, italics, etc. And your html is not standard HTML so we can't just cut and paste from standard editors, and you examples are woefully inadequate with minimal examples. If you are going to ignore the request for a WYSIWIG editor, how about at least providing some meaningful code that we can use in an example. At a minimum you should provide code that would allow: 1. Text enhancement of an entire paragraph a. Color b. Bold c. Underline d. Italic e. above combinations 2. Text enhancement within a paragraph or sentence - only selected words - same combinations as above.

'@Admin, ShipStation Is there a way to have the shipping method "Requested Service" automatically printed on the packing slips? Right now it says "Ship Date" then it's blank across from it. I want it to say "Ship" then across from it auto populate with the requested service. Thank you, Jamie

'@Tim Yerby - Thanks for chiming in with that! While we research the WYSIWYG editor, I'm looking to provide solutions for users like yourself today, and to help with basic font changes, like color, bold, underline, italics like you suggested, we've just added this article: https://help.shipstation.com/hc/en-us/articles/217551858 At the end of the article are 2 fantastic resources to provide more information on editing HTML that's also helped a lot of us ShipStation staff members out. @Jamie.Calder - Thanks for the update! The field to do that is: [Requested Shipping Service] The document at the bottom of this page will have all the possible fields that can be used if you'd like to add other order-specific info to your packing slips: https://help.shipstation.com/hc/en-us/articles/205901168

'@Admin, ShipStation Um, thanks but I STILL don't have time to learn HTML, read through Articles, view FAQ's etc, etc. Now if you would provide step by step instructions on how to do what I require, I would appreciate it. Since you acknowledged that ShipStation Staff had to go through these resources to learn how to edit templates, I'm hoping you or another staff member would be willing to provide me the step by step instructions. Thank you

'@Jamie.Calder - I sent you an email with instructions, please keep an eye out! I understand it takes some time to get used to looking at HTML so if you need clarification on how to edit the packing slip, please shoot us an email at Support@ShipStation.com or chat in with us and we'll be happy to walk you through it!

Realtime and/or GUI editing of Packing Slip templates would be helpful, vs html and downloading samples. Also downloading and being able to upload to another ShipStation account would be helpful as well.

The defualt packing slip design is pretty lackluster. If you want to customize it, you have to upgrade to the Silver plan, while other services offer this for free.

For the love of God, please put a WYSIWYG editor in place! I just spent 2 hours in my editor, and when I cut and paste it across, it looks nothing like my work. I've paid well over $2,000 to you guys over the years, and even most freeware has a built in process to see what you're designing.. PLEASE, please, please?

This does seem pretty old fashioned not to have WYSIWYG. Orderly Print is a much simpler product than Shipstation but offers very good and simple to use Document editing. Would be a big enhancement to Shipstation to make use of the idea of multiple document templates that are then customisable with a simple menu, colour, font etc..

Please implement this, for the love of GOD!

I much agree with this request!

I would like a nice non-coder-like interface for custom packing slips. My other shipping software (that is not web-based, which is touted as being better) provides a nice MS-Word style interface for making custom packing slips or making changes to existing packing slips and provides a tab for the code when necessary. Also, it would be so much better if there was a real-time preview rather than having to keep downloading the PDF after every change to see if it's what you want.
