Saving Customers by name and not email address

Hello ShipStation Developers. We would like an option to save to our customer database by name and company and not email address. We have many customers that place orders but want the product shipped to a different person. But the person that placed the order needs the tracking notification. By using the person's that is ordering email address the ship to address is getting overwritten with every order, even though we have shipped to that person before.
