@Moderator-Davis- I still have not been given access to this beta group. Is this pending? Is the release of this feature finally pending? 

This feature is one that users have been requesting for several years. The speed at which basic improvements are released in ShipStation is frightening slow and doesn't give me much hope for the larger issues we see and improvements requested.

The product team in charge of this beta test let me know what we have actually closed that beta test group currently as its at capacity for their testing. With that in mind, if/when this beta test opens back up I will make sure that you are added in right away.

I'm sorry we were unable to add you to this group at this time, but your interest in participation at that level means a great deal. When we have another beta test group open up, we will certainly be reaching out in the community for participants. 

How is the beta test going?  I would like to be added as well if it opens back up.

I agree, it is time consuming to check for the cheapest rate. I think if we can set a rule for the weight and size of the package - and that the customer hasn't requested a specific service, that Shipstation should be able to check between two chosen services - like USPS Priority or UPS Sure Post - for the best rate.

How about an automation option using Rate.  With this allowed then you can have an automation of if its more than X amount, ship this way.  Or Less and or equal to, ship this way.

I'm interested. 

@Moderator-Davis is there any progress report available for this work? At one point we were informed that this would be released in March of 2022.

I love the list idea of seeing 

Service A _____ $__.__
Service B _____ $__.__
Service C _____ $__.__

And being able to choose one, rather than toggling between the different options.

We're using String (https://www.meetstring.com/) - they literally solve this exact problem.

Highly recommend! The founder is a great guy too; super helpful in getting you set up.

When it comes to getting the best shipping service and package selection on orders that come into Shipstation, our company found that using String was incredibly beneficial for us. Before using String, our fulfillment team had to manually check every rate for a given package that they had to figure out or guess themselves on many of our incoming orders - String solved ALL of that! Now our orders come in and get the best service/package selected based on the contents of the order and the customer's destination, and it has expedited our entire fulfillment process. The String team is phenomenal in how they solve these issues. I would highly recommend using them for anyone who has ran into the same shipping nightmares! 👍

We're a huge fan of a new company called String that's fully automating the carrier selection process in ShipStation to select the lowest cost carrier/service. Seriously solving major headaches for us.  Check them out: meetstring.com.

Shippingplus.co actually automates the carrier rate shopping process for a fraction of the price as meetstring. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking to save more $$$ on your shipping

@Manager-ErinMaybe it shouldn't take 3+ years to help your users save money. I see you have this feature for the $399 a month customers but not for us peons.

If it hasn’t been mentioned yet this is possible through rule automation as we have it in place. The catch is we had to upgrade to Enterprise account in order to access the features but the savings in freight has well outweighed the monthly cost. Hope this helps.
