The Problem
When using a hybrid fulfillment model—both Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) and Seller-managed warehouses—ShipStation’s inventory sync completely breaks.
Because the integration lacks a warehouse selection setting, ShipStation tries to sync all locations, triggering the TikTok API error:
"Platform warehouse inventory is not editable."
Business Impact
Total Sync Failure: This error halts the entire sync process, meaning even your seller-managed SKUs fail to update.
Operational Drain: Teams must manually audit and update SKUs daily to prevent overselling, wasting massive operational time.
Growth Bottleneck: Merchants cannot scale using TikTok FBT alongside local warehouse fulfillment.
Proposed Solution
Update the TikTok Shop integration to support multi-warehouse environments by adding:
Warehouse Selection Toggle: Allow merchants to explicitly select which TikTok warehouses ShipStation should sync with.
Smart Filtering: Automatically ignore or bypass FBT-managed warehouses during the sync loop so seller-managed SKUs can update without errors.
