I can't beg UPS to scan packages. Especially when we ship high value items, they could care less to scan them and if they magically get lost, I have no recourse. Its UPS pushing away its customers to save some money on their drivers daily hours.

Since shipstation doesn't care to provide an EOD solution and UPS won't scan the packages, the only choice I had was to stop shipping with UPS.

Other companies are happy to scan each package when picking up.

I 100% agree. Ship station needs to make this change.

I came here to post about this - we NEED a UPS scan form so that the driver will scan the packages as in UPS possession. Here's the issue I'm having; when we have next day air packages, and our driver picks up at 3pm (within guidelines) they don't actually get scanned as "in UPS possession" until he returns to the depot, usually after 6pm (which is "late") and it negates the guarantee for next day service - I have to REALLY fight with them to get them to honor it (not to mention deal with my disappointed customer, who doesn't care that *I* did everything right, he just knows his package was late).

I've browbeaten our driver into scanning JUST the expedited service packages, and he insists (and gets salty about it) that he's specifically told NOT to scan packages at pickup. A scan form would allow for quick, easy insurance for us as customers that our packages will be guaranteed to deliver on time.

Proverbial dead horse guys...I doubt we will ever get this from ShipStation.  Time to start writing the CEO of UPS to remind her that the "S" in UPS means 'service'.

Exactly as Jeffrey first mention in 2022:

"3. The scannable EOD page allows the UPS pickup driver to scan just 1 barcode instead of 50 or a100 separate cartons causing a waste of time to the driver.  The lack of this EOD scan sheet causes to the shipper not to know whether the driver scanned every package while not having the time or the stamina to stand on top of the driver themselves to watch him scan every package.  Nobody can run a business like this."

Hello! @scott30!

Thank you for your post in the community! I checked in with our development team, and they confirmed that this is a limitation of UPS's API functionality, as they do not offer this feature to partners at this time!

Happy Shipping!

We're running into the same thing. Transitioning from solely using UPS Worldship to now also utilizing Shipstation.  We still print an EOD for Worldship but it doesn't include any shipments done on Shipstation even if they're shipped from our main UPS Worldship accounts which we have connected.

We're receiving negative feedback from the drivers picking up because they now have to individually scan and count the packages.

Well at least your driver is doing it, many have stopped scanning or counting.
