Use of Multi-Package function with bulk API import

I am successfully importing orders into Shipstation via API, however I process them in bulk.  I am having much difficulty with this since Shipstation does not support multi-package option.  If the orders only have one package, it works fine, but many of our orders are multi- package orders.  In order to continue using the software, it is imperative I have this option available.
