It would be great if we could have the option for any of the barcodes generated in ShipStation to be set to the order number values and not the Quick Ship special character values. The order summary report that has barcodes for each order cannot be scanned by our WMS as the barcodes are a special ShipStation code and do not reflect the actual order numbers barcode. Having the ability to scan order numbers via barcodes would be great for overlapping systems. Thanks
Currently ShipStation sends tracking back to my ERP and is populated into the order log. I would like to be able to see where the shipping warehouse location is from in this order log. Currently I have two warehouse locations and it would be very helpful to see where the shipment originated from in the order. Is there any way to edit the data feed from ShipStation to my ERP system (BrightPearl).
For a manual order, the activity log should show which user created the order, as well as the date and time that the order was created. This allows everyone to know who created the order. This record is very helpful if there are questions about the order, either at the time the order is processed, or at any later time. This record could also be a deterrent to a user who might create a manual order and fraudulently claim that the order had been paid when it had not been paid. Once the order was created, anyone in the warehouse could ship it. Currently, there is no record of which user created the order, only the user that shipped the order, so there would be no record of the individual who committed the fraud. There is already an activity log, and similar items are already logged, so this would be very easy to implement.
We often have sales that are site wide and don't require the customer to enter a code. It would be good to have the packing slip reflect what the customer actually paid instead of the full prices.
Add Packing Slip functionality thru API Would love the ability to generate packing slips through your API. currently that is not supported. really hoping you will add that functionality soon.
With the advent of so many wholesale portals vs trade shows, we manage shipping for 4 different portals. When will shipstation start to offer some solutions for wholesale platform integrations? Right now it seems like everything is focused on retail.
Just have a suggestion .. Have it change color or some way to identify if it is a return customer. 2nd purchase -- a color. 3rd or 4th .. another. That way we can easily identify and give a gift in the package.
Placing claims through ShipStation UPS seems like it should be easier. 1st you have to place the claim on the ShipStation link, then a few days later you get a letter from UPS asking for more information and documentation. This seems like we are having to place the claim twice. Why can't ShipStation provide this information directly to UPS since we submit all that information to UPS from ShipStation when placing the claim the first time.This seems redundant and if ShipStation is going to offer UPS claims through them, why can't they submit the documentation that UPS needs with our original submission of the claim?It is also confusing that even though I am the "Shipper" we have to submit as a "3rd Party" since we don't actually own our UPS number, ShipStation does. So submitting as a 3rd party doesn't allow for the "Dashboard" to be accessed after placing the claim. This kind of leaves us in limbo of knowing if our claim has been completed or is still pending. We as the customer should be able to find out if we are getting our money refunded or not.Just my suggestions.If you have any input on how to make this process easier that would be helpful.Thanks
If you're going to label a # on the Insights Overview page as a Shipped Orders #, then please report how many orders actually shipped during the designated timeframe. I don't want to know how many orders have an order date within my designated timeframe that now show a Status of Shipped. I want to know how many orders I actually shipped during the designated timeframe. It's not that complicated. That's just common sense right there. If your label said Oranges, why would you include apples in with that #?If you're going to report the # of orders that were placed during a given timeframe that now show a status of Shipped, then change the title of that stat or provide an asterisk that clarifies what number is actually being represented there. You are providing misleading information and that really messes with my ability to crunch my numbers with accuracy.
I would love to see an option added to Shipstation's Custom Field Mapping from Shopify that pulled data from Shopify's Order Metafields.

Newly launched. Needs to be added to integrations. Already receiving orders but having to do all labels etc manually.
This actually created issues for me the first week using the app, which led to me missing two orders through Amazon. There is currently no indication when refreshing stores that an order has come in. I assumed that there would be some kind of visible notification on the stores page that the refreshed store has new orders, but there are no notifications through the app. You have to leave the stores section and load the orders section to see if that refresh resulted in any posted new orders, adding steps to the process.It would be easier (requiring fewer clicks by your customers) if we could stay in the store refresh section to reload stores without having to change to the orders section to see if there were any updates made by the store section's refresh. Even adding a green dot to the corner of each store would be enough, although a circle with a number in it would be better as it would remove the need to be jumping back and forth between sections.
It would be extremely beneficial for my company to have the "End of day" submission automated so that I don't have to go and close shipments each day. There are glitches on your end that are not picking up all articles for Australia post and I have been charged thousands of dollars by Australia post because "end of day" forms were not closed. This needs to be addressed as I am considering leaving Shipstation for this reason.
Integrate local couriers like Postmate and UberRush. We use these on occasion but not enough to justify our own integration Having within ShipStation would add alot of value for us though.
Left batch menu, can we suggest allowing to create "batch folders" to better allow us to separate batches by batch directories/folders? and allow moving batch up/down, if not enable dragging to sort within the frame? (sorting within by filter would be great on top as well! (by count, by oldest/newest etc).
I would like to connect a simple external display 'counter' that shows the number of orders awaiting shipment. I guess there must already be a workaround that someone cleaver than me has figured out.
Hi! I use the scan feature to print shipping labels, but the rate calculator doesn't automatically pull in the order information like it does if it was in the orders window. When in the orders window, the calculator icon will appear next to the "Ship From" section. In the Scan window, there isn't one. Is this a feature that already exists or something I need to do to get it? Adding photo for reference.
We need to include shipping insurance on all of our orders. The cost of ParcelGuard is dependent on the value of the product and total cost of the order. We need customers to pay for insurance at checkout in Shopify.
With the new Reship feature (which is great) there needs to be a way to quickly filter our Reshipped shipments in the Shipments dashboard, like there is for Returns, in the Advanced Search bar. Before we used to track these by filtering shipments within a date range by quantity. All the orders that had 0 QTY were reships, because you used to not be able to add items to reshipment, prior to the newest feature. No that visibility is lost. We fulfill orders for other clients, and we do not charge them fulfillment fees for orders that are reshipped due to fulfillment errors. Now I'm having to scroll through thousands of orders each week and manually tally up the orders I see with "(2 of 2)" next to it. Frustrating.
Hi Shipstation, We currently have two BluePark sites, Amazon, eBay and OnBuy marketplaces... It made me so happy to see the inventory sync being finally added, but so disappointed to see that it had not been developed for Bluepark! We currently use OnePatch to sync stock levels but find it a very slow program to work with, and would like to cut out this middle step. Would be great if you could consider adding Bluepark to the Inventory sync! Also adding Purchase Order and Suppliers section would be a bonus, although we can move this to Bluepark. If this development is on the card soon, please let me know. If not, I think we have to start looking at different setup with perhaps Linnworks, but we much prefer the ShipStation layout for processing orders. Regards - Christine, Naysmith Ltd
We have negotiated rates but do not want to display those rates to customers. I'd like to see a spot for a markup at the store and/or carrier level, either as a flat "handling fee" or as a percentage of the shipping charge. The reports would be able to include both "true charge" and "marked up charge". (In our case, we have no client-facing stores, and only want this feature for running reports at the backend, but I could see where other users might like it in that situation.)
We have 3 different UPS accounts, each with specific services discounted.For example:UPS Account 1 has discounted rates for UPS Ground.UPS Account 2 has discounted rates for UPS 2nd Day Air.UPS Account 3 has discounted rates for International.In Shipstation, it does not allow us to enable/disable services for each account; if you change 1 of the UPS accounts, all 3 change. This is a problem. Our shipping department is then offered 3 different options for UPS Ground for example, with only 1 of them at the discounted rate.UPS says this is how they needed to set us up, and Shipstation support claims there is no possible way to set each account to offer only specific services, they all have to be the same for some reason. So instead of 10 different services to sort through, our shipping department has 30, with only 10 being the optimal choice, spread out in different accounts.We can't be the only users with this issue? Why would 3 different account numbers be synced in the back end? Doesn't make sense.
It would be very helpful feature to be able to proactively and automatically reach out to the customer right after the first attempted delivery by the carrier. Quite often customers don't understand that they can redirect the shipment or mark it as 'hold at the location' and these shipments are being returned to sender. Shipstation already monitors for delivery exceptions so I the software could intercept the first "delivery attempt" event for each carrier and then automatically send the templated message to the customer with let's say all the instructions how to properly receive it, that would be of a great help to us, senders. There's already a section in the store configuration about sending email templates that could be upgraded for that option. Another approach would be to build it around the automation rules maybe so more conditions and actions could be configured by the user. This will require though for the automation rules not to only monitor new orders, but also all the shipments tracking information changes (until they get delivered). Another places where it could be implemented is with Zapier or Webhook integrations. Basically checking for the first failed delivery attempt to trigger the proper integration. There's a big potential there.
Just as the title suggests, it would be great to be able to have the pick list get the products location based on the location in inventory, not by the warehouse location field. That field has to be manually updated. A products inventory location is constantly changing, or same products in split locations, manually updating that field just to generate a pick list is very cumbersome. It would also be great if it gets the location that has the least amount of inventory first.
