In Shipstation (referring to as "SS") > Settings > Shipping > Packages > FedEx [under 'manage package type'] there are numerous One Rate® shipping options available to ship through FedEx. One of these options is the FedEx One Rate® Pak.Our FedEx rep suggested we add the FedEx One Rate® "Small Pak" (a smaller version of the Pak to ship at a lesser cost) to our SS account for this season. After speaking with SS support, they said this package option is not currently available to add through SS. We are looking to migrate some of our shipping packages to this "Small Pak," but are unable to with SS as it stands. You can see the available One Rate® options on FedEx's site here: https://www.fedex.com/en-us/shipping/one-rate.html#packing-supplies, and the Small Pak is the only one rate SS does not currently support. Does SS have plans to add this as a shipping option? Or has anyone found a workaround to add this package type? We are looking to ship with the package type for a fair amount of orders this season, but will have to do so outside of SS until this is figured out.
Hi Shipstation. When my warehouse staff comes in they usually scan the order que for internationals then missing Harmonization codes both in the Orders level and the product level and then check to make sure the description on the order is ok.As we had a few returns from Australia customs because of descriptions not being descriptive enough we are more vigilant on this. We sell toys and simply tying Toy in the description isnt enough so now we go in and add more details on the Declaration Description field.my warehouse alerted me that sometimes their changes do not save. I could not replicate the issue until I actually sat with a staff member and noticed they make changes then they click on the next order. This is when changes are NOT saved.Where I make changes to an order field and then click a different part of the order and it silently saves my changes.I think you should add a SAVE button or UPDATE button to the top of the new individual order screen. Clicking around on the screen is still a nice hidden feature to have but it should be easier to identify if an order update was actually saved.
Majority of our orders have more than one Tracking #. When the Defaulted Emailed Shipping Template gets sent it only displays the Master Tracking #. So we constantly get our Clients requesting the other Tracking #'s, which takes time away from us completing our regular job duties. We would like to request that you upgrade your system to allot all the Tracking #'s (under that order) to be displayed on that generated Emailed Shipping Template; to allow all customers to have immediate access to their complete order package details.
I like that I can set Shipstation to automatically import orders from my online store, but there is no information on how often this occurs. I see a few possible solutions to this, and I've listed them below in order of most preferred to least. Ideally, I would love to be able to set the update frequency by hour, day, or week (i.e. "update every X hours"; "update every X days"; "update very X weeks", with the ability to select both fields). If the above it not possible, then offering the option to choose between a few set timeframes (i.e. "10 minutes" or "every hour" or "every day" or "every week").At the very minimum, I would like to see the frequency of the updates right next to option to turn on automoatic imports, even if I can not choose how often they occur. (i.e. "Your orders will automatically update every 1-2 hours.")I've seen this feature requested before, and I know it would be super helpful to many users! @SuperMgr-Sarah @MaryS @Olivia-A @Manager-Erin @MDunegan @DColeman @briabeeson
We currently systematically print a return label when a return kit order type is sent to ShipStation and an outbound label is printed. When this option is selected, it does not provide the ability to modify the Return Label in any way. We would like to remove the ShipStation generated RMA # from the Return Label as it has no reference to our integrated ERP system Dynamics AX 2012 R3. Would like the same Document Options as the outbound Label has.

When I import orders via CSV, I can add most package details, such as height, length, width, and weight in OZ. But there is no way to add weight in LB. It slows me down considerably as I need to manually add each weight in LB to my shipments. Thank you!
I am not sure if other Amazon sellers with UPS account have noticed this, but UPS is cheaper when you use Amazon Buy Shipping. ShipStation will not let us use Amazon Buy Shipping through ShipStation unless it is a Seller fulfilled Amazon Prime order. We do not use seller fulfilled Amazon Prime, but still use Amazon Buy Shipping for our UPS merchant fulfilled orders. ShipStation wanted me to post this message on this forum, because they do not believe that there are enough sellers that will use this options, so ShipStation wants to see "up votes". Who does not want to save money?
Would be awesome to get a lettermail/ oversized lettermail option incorporated through Canada post instead of having to hand print labels and or buy individual stamps
The integration to Canada Post needs to have multi-package function.
I manage over 300 SKUs at any given time. Currently, when attempting to move an item to a new "location" I am forced to scroll through over 300 possible locations (including locations I have "deleted" due to typos, etc) and they are in no sensible order. It has created hours and hours of unnecessary work. I know that it is absolutely possible to implement this sort function, as these same locations are sorted alphanumerically in the "Inventory Warehouses" tab in "Settings". On the "Standalone Product Detail" tab, it's the same exact list of locations, but they're all out of order.I desperately need them to be sorted alphanumerically so that we can work efficiently! Please please please take the 15 minutes to write 2 lines of code to sort these alphanumerically by default!
Rate Browser is very helpful in the Order View to check on the cheapest rate. However, it is missing from the Scan View, so you have to individually select each option and wait for it to load until you find the cheapest option. Having the Rate Browser available in the Scan View would save a TON of time. Even better yet, the ability to create a rule based on a requested shipping method (i.e. standard) that auto-selects the cheapest rate, which can be changed if necessary.
It would be nice to have a rule that can be created to auto select which ever carrier has the lowest rate for parcel package shipments. We have USPS, FedEx, & UPS all set up and have their rates linked up but for every package we have to select each carrier to see what each rate is and then choose which one we want to use. 99% of the time for our business it is the cheapest one, when we have 1,500+ orders being processed each day, this adds a lot of time in the process. If anyone has a work around for this, I'll be very happy to hear your thoughts or extremely thrilled if SS puts this an option.
We routinely need to send large shipments via pallets with carriers other than what's available in ShipStation. These orders are "marked as shipped" and end up in the Fulfillment section of ShipStation (not Shipments). As a result, we are unable to access any Insights reports from these "fulfillments". Fulfillment exports do not include the products included in the order. Ideally, there would be a way to either a) have reports available for Fulfillments or b) the ability to recategorize Fulfillments as Shipments. Seems like a critical feature for ecommerce firms that occasionally use carriers other than those in ShipStation.
Now that USPS is using Ground Advantage, ShipStation's USPS Pickup page needs an update. There is no automatic tally for Ground Advantage packages so I've been having to figure it out manually and adding it to the "Other" column so that my info being sent to USPS is correct. I don't use EOD forms, but I'm guessing they may need an update for that as well?
I'm curious if anyone has dealt with request to remove a customer's personal information from their systems in response to GDPR, CCPA or other privacy laws? ShipStation and its APIs don't seem to provide any functionality for this. And especially in the case of customers and orders that originate from a linked ecommerce system, it does not seem possible to update personal information and replace it with annoymized data. Has anyone dealt with this successfully?
Add customer email as a column, will help immensely with creating label for my type of business
Is there a way to create batches of labels on the mobile app vs. creating one by one? It would be convenient if we can ship orders in batches off our mobile app.
We use ChannelAdvisor. I would like to have the Amazon Ship By and Delivery By date shown in the order. This will help us to be able to chose the right shipping carrier and method to get the order to the customer in time. Right now, those two fields have no way to be mapped in ShipStation but ChannelAdvisor does provide those fields.
It's possible! ChannelAdvisor now allows via it's API the ability to update line items as shipped instead of the whole order (as ShipStation currently does). Through this mysterious magic of API, they can also send the Shipping Cost, Shipping Tax Cost, and Insurance Cost to ChannelAdvisor. Just image what you could do with all that data! Oh the reports you could run. I bet you're saying to yourself "Wow, that sounds wonderful. How can I help make this happen?"... All you need to do is upvote this post so that ShipStation sees the err of their deprecated API ways.
When we print labels out of UPS Worldship we use a label that has a perforated tag at the bottom that can print useful information like negotiated rate, tracking number and even your dimensions if you want to set it up that way. The label is 4 x 8-1/4, and since shipstation is a partner of UPS this label and label template should be an easy addition to our label printing options.
We extensively use the "Chain of Signature" options from purolator due to some shipment including heavily regulated products. We would like this option to be available within shipstation. It would make sense to add it as one of the "signature" possible values.
As a business, it's essential to have the capability to generate shipping labels without repeatedly creating new customer entries for the 'from' field due to several reasons. This is especially important when you need to create labels for scenarios like returns or receiving items from third parties, where the sender isn't you.Creating a new customer entry every time you need to make a label is time-consuming and inefficient. It adds complexity and unnecessary steps to the process. To streamline this, having a default 'from' address option is crucial, but allowing for customers to change it to an empty and editable field would add a layer of usability and efficiency to Shipstation. It simplifies label creation and ensures a more user-friendly experience, as users won't have to repeatedly create new customer entries and then delete them when they're no longer needed. Understandably, Return labels are an option, but unfortunately I have yet to be able to make one due to multiple errors that had to be escalated and have not been resolved. Additionally, this approach reduces data clutter in your system. Creating numerous customer records for one-time or infrequent senders can make it challenging to manage and organize your customer data effectively. Moreover, it enhances security and privacy by reducing the need to input sensitive information repeatedly. With GDPR and other data protection laws becoming more popular, it's surprising to see Shipstation doesn't have an option to just create a quick label with empty fields. By avoiding the constant creation and deletion of customer entries, you also simplify database maintenance. This is especially important as our shipping needs scale over time. It offers flexibility for various shipping scenarios and is a cost-efficient approach, reducing potential associated costs (mainly time wasted) with creating and managing excessive customer entries.Efficiency and Time Savings: Creating a new customer entry for each shipping label can be time-consuming and inefficient. It adds unnecessary steps to the process, especially when you only need a one-time label for occasional purposes like returns or receiving items from third parties. User-Friendly Experience: Designing a system with a default "from" address option that also allows for "custom" entries, if selected, enhances the user experience. It simplifies the label creation process, reducing the potential for user errors or confusion. Users can focus on other aspects of the shipping process, making it more user-friendly.Reduced Data Clutter: Creating numerous customer entries for one-time or infrequent senders can clutter your database with unnecessary information. This can make it difficult to manage, search, or organize your customer records effectively. Having a custom label/blank field option prevents this data clutter.Security and Privacy: Creating a new customer entry may require inputting personal or sensitive information. Avoiding the creation of customer records for every shipment helps maintain privacy and security by reducing the potential for data exposure or misuse. It helps businesses (and Shipstation), both big and small, prevent issues with GDPR or similar laws in the future. Maintenance and Cleanup: Constantly creating and deleting customer entries can lead to database maintenance issues. It's essential to periodically clean up and manage your customer records, and an option to create a custom "from" address (rather than being forced to create new "from" address entries and then deleting them) reduces the need for this ongoing maintenance.Scalability: If our shipping needs grow over time, it will become increasingly burdensome to manage a growing list of customer records by having to create and delete them constantly.Business Flexibility: Businesses often encounter various shipping scenarios, including returns or receiving items from third parties. Having a flexible system that doesn't force a permanent customer entry for these situations allows businesses to adapt to changing needs more easily.Time Efficiency: In some cases, creating customer entries just to delete them after one use is simply a waste of time. If I can just click "Custom Label" and fill everything out myself, that is far simpler and easier than trying to navigate around a system that isn't working or create a bandaid approach by creating customer records and deleting them after. Avoiding Validation Issues: International addresses can vary significantly in format and structure. With a customizable "from" address, users can input the sender's information exactly as needed, reducing the risk of validation issues that arise from rigid address requirements.Compliance with Local Regulations: Different countries have specific addressing conventions and regulations. A customizable "from" address allows users to adhere to these requirements, ensuring that international shipments comply with local laws and customs regulations.Ease of Copy-Pasting: When shipping internationally, there's often a need to copy and paste sender details from different sources. Having a customizable "from" address simplifies this process, reducing the chances of errors that can occur during manual entry.Efficient Handling of Cross-Border Shipments: Many international shipments require the use of multiple carriers and services. A flexible "from" address option ensures that sender information can be easily adjusted to meet the specific requirements of each carrier and service, enhancing efficiency.Privacy and Security in Cross-Border Transactions: For international business transactions, privacy and security are paramount. Avoiding the need to create and store customer entries for one-time or infrequent international senders helps protect sensitive information and reduces the risk of international data exposure. To summarize, it's crucial for businesses to have the capability to generate shipping labels without constantly creating new customer entries for the 'from' field. This need arises, particularly for scenarios like returns or items received from third parties, where the sender isn't the business itself.
I just created a new user account to only allow Order Management and Shipping for my employee with the intention that they could NOT see our store insight data like sales numbers, etc. but to my surprise they had full access to all of this information that we wish to keep private. Please create the option to hide store insight data from select users. I messaged support and they said they currently do not have this option which is shocking to me and they recommended I leave a recommended feature post here.
