It's a must for a company to be able to block other users from being able to import data out of shipstation. Sheep station must offer a deeper user permission to allow or not allow a user from importing data. This is a basic feature every company with more than three employees needs. As of now sheep station allow all users to import data from shipstation which is against customers privacy. We need to protect our customers information.
Ability to further customize what each user sees in ShipStation (Shipped, Cancelled tabs on the left side of page) When we have people join our shipping team, I know that ShipStation can be a bit overwhelming. So the simpler and more straightforward the layout, the easy it is to train people. What it accomplishes: Easy way to train new employees.
Shipstation is about to lose me as a customer because we stopped letting our employees see the $ value of the shipments and their attitude completely improved. We need them to be able to split orders but there is not way to do this without giving them access to order amount. If this can't be resolved, we'll likely have to change tools. It is quite a simple request and think it should be SUPER obvious to have this available.
Hello, I'm posting here as requested by your support. See request ticket 1994540. Basically, it would help us quite a bit if we were able to restrict a user from not seeing other orders (imported or created by other users), but at the same time allowing them to create/ship a new order of their own.So they can create/ship their own created orders, but at the same time not mess with existing orders. I was surprised to learn that this isn't possible with the current implementation of permissions/restrictions. Surely, we're not the only ones that would benefit from this. It seems like it would be a common use-case.
Hi Team, while working on automation, I noticed that your criteria were lacking a certain field, the email sectionCould you add this field to the criteria as well? using that we'd be able to classify orders based on the organisations behind them, for example, the above-given order is from "Uncrate" trading partner and its emails end with @uncrate. Please look into this feature request/enhancement request.
I'm writing to suggest an enhancement for the returns process in ShipStation that would greatly benefit businesses like ours. We propose a feature that allows the creation of return orders without automatically purchasing a postage label. This change would significantly speed up the returns process and offer greater flexibility to both businesses and customers.Key Benefits:Time Efficiency: Eliminates unnecessary steps, speeding up return processing.Cost Reduction: Saves on operational costs as not all returns require seller-provided postage.Simplified Logistics: Streamlines the process by focusing on return authorization, enhancing compliance with marketplace policies. This feature would be a substantial improvement, saving time and resources and improving customer satisfaction by aligning more closely with their preferences and needs.Thank you for considering this enhancement.
Currently, ShipStation doesn't offer auto-printing of labels after they are generated via the API. I think they should offer a way to interact with ShipStation Connect without getting logged into ShipStation every time to print the labels generated via API.
I believe it would be extremely beneficial to our workflow and for others to include the ability to print Order Summaries and Pick Lists in bulk, but as 1 per page instead of combining multiple pick lists/order summaries per page. The products and text are already pretty small so it is best for our warehouse people to be able to see each order on an 8.5x11 sheet. This would streamline our packing process as we have a high volume of packages to pack and ship.
A week or so ago, the file name of the packing slip download changed from "Packing Slips" to a long strong of random numbers, similar to that of other downloaded files. It has now become real problem to determine the actual packing slip file that I need to use. Please return the packing slip download file name back to "Packing Slips."
Hello,We currently have our Selling Channel notification set to: Number of hour(s) elapsed after label creation (24hrs) which works great for Mon to Thurs. However, on Friday the automation will mark it as shipped on Saturday but USPS won't scan it in until Monday due to not being open on the weekend. Amazon is suddenly cracking down on this and is threatening account deactivation which will force us to switch to a system that allows more flexibility. We need an option that allows this to be business day or allow you to map out each day of the week individually. This is business critical for us.Note: we did try the "The shipment first hits the mail stream" option but it does not work well at all.Thank you.
I have been trying to get this to be a thing for a long time and no such luck. It appears that you have to be a silver member which costs $20 more a month than my current bronze package for a simple a feature. As it stands now you cant change the packing slip to remove the coupon codes my customers use. I have contemplated leaving shipstation for the fact of this but have stayed because of the scan feature only. When a customer orders and uses a coupon code and I send it as a gift it doesn't look appealing that the customer used a coupon code to buy them a gift. Using a sharpie marker is unattractive to black out a code that can be removed by upgrading my plan. I ship 300 packages a month I don't need silver and to pay $20 to remove a simple aspect that is clearly doable is a ridiculous to me. Im not asking for a lot of features on the packing slip just a simple removal of something that shouldn't even be there in the first place.
"American Express cards (AMEX) are not supported as a payment method for ShipStation Carrier labels for accounts based in Canada." Would be awesome to see acceptance of Amex cards accepted for ship station Canada.I understand that ShipStation accepts American Express cards as a method of payment for ShipStation in the US, UK, and AUS regions, but not Canada yet. Wondering ShipStation will consider adding this in the future? I am thinking of switching my high volume business that could really benefit from ShipStation, we mainly use American Express charge and credit cards currently. Most couriers that we work with in Canada currently accept AmEx.Thanks!
I think having the batch number at the top of the pick list would be super helpful. When printing numerous batches from different workstations, it's hard to keep them organized. When there is a printing error, or a picking error, it'd be a lot easier to see the number instead of looking up an order, finding the batch, and then searching the batch. Or going through the print history comparing time stamps.
As it stands now, we have to do periodic syncs against shipstation for up-to-date order information for our internal picking system. With the discovery of webhooks, I was hoping to eliminate or at least reduce the frequency of the syncs. But current webhook events only offer new orders, so it doesn't fulfill our need. Can we please get an order updated event for the webhooks so we can reduce our dependency on syncs against the api?
We have multiple locations that we ship from. These locations do not share the same carriers and when they do they have different carrier accounts. We need a way to be able to setup each shipping location with its own set of carriers. We do not want people from location 1 to be able to pick location 2 shipping carriers.i.e. Shipping Location 1 => UPS Accout1, Fedex Account1, Shipping Location 2=> UPS Account2, FedEx Account2
Is there any provision for batch and expiry dates on a product level? We manufacture and distribute a number of nutritional supplement brands and as part of our GMP/ FDA/ BRC procedures, all items are batch controlled. I can't see that there is any way of handling this, but it is standard functionality on most of the shipping/ inventory management systems that we have worked with.
When a label is voided on ShipStation, can we please have a webhook to let our systems know? Without this, there is no way to keep our systems in sync.
We ship 3rd party for several large accounts and do 100 + labels a day. It is incredibly annoying when I am trying to do the labels when your pop ups keep appearing to ship with your service. We have used ship station for 8 years and I feel recently it has become much more time consuming to create our daily labels, because you are constantly trying to upsell us on different services. Between the popups for priority mail, and having to toggle to our default method because yours still comes up before our default shipping account, it is becoming increasingly annoying to have the extra steps when we have a set account we use. When someone sets a default, that should be it! I would like to see a way to remove the popups or turn them off and to have my default shipping method stay the primary

Hey guys, We are a new shipstation user and we like the app a lot. The only thing missing is the 4" x 6" format for the customs form (international order). Some of our shipping providers don't use the electronic declaration and we need to print the form on a 8.5" x 11" sheet, print it, and put it in a plastic pocket on the package. It would be way easier to print it directly with our 4" x 6" thermal printer. Thanks! AP
Hi, We use ShipStation domestically only. ShipStation doesn't have the ability to ship international orders when the individual commodity's are worth more than $2500.00 without additional customs documents. When we signed up for ShipStation we were under the impression that everything was handled through ShipStation until we were contacted by the carriers seeking customs documents. Please add support for EEI filing through the carriers to fix this. For international shipments we have been forced to ship through the individual carriers, fixing this issue would bring a lot more business to ShipStation. There is a demand for this! Who has time to Vote on "Fresh Ideas" when you're busy filling out Customs Documents?
It would be great to be able to automate multiple packages per order through the API.
How this isn't a feature I will never know.We have the mobile app on all warehouse scanners for picking and packing and product pricing / order price total is completely visible. Why do staff need to see this. Pickers are there to pick product and there should be a setting for only this to be seen so that staff can freely pick orders without seeing £$ value.
It would be great if you had an alert set up if a tracking number doesn't get scanned or progresses. We have an issue with our warehouse where they will create a label and sometimes forget to ship the package, or if a package is lost and doesn't move for a while, we would be able to alert the recipient quicker.
I have multiple clients that I provide API integration to/from Shipstation and I use the 'mark as shipped' option often.(https://www.shipstation.com/docs/api/orders/mark-as-shipped/)However, there is no option to undo this though the API. The only possibility is to manually go through each single order in the UI which, with hundreds to thousands of orders each day, is way too time consuming.I'm not sure if this board is also for API requests, but even a batch undo 'mark as shipped' option in the UI would work for now.And extra API endpoint would be better to automate it completely, but anything to avoid hours of work daily would work
