Hi,I come from an ISV company specialising in integrations with Multi-Carrier platforms and Microsoft Business Central ERP. We Cover 4 Multi-carrier platforms as of today and wanted to also integration into ShipStation as we have UK Partners and customers interested in it. However, one thing that is always required via the API is the possibility of printing labels automatically through the API without having to go to the ShipStation Portal to manually print it. Commonly (with all other Multi-carrier platforms) is that you can specify either a Workstation with a predefined label printer OR simply point out a label printer itself that is setup within the portal. with ShipStation Connect you already have access to the local printers it is just a matter of providing a printer object in the API for us to specify printer data such as Label format, printer name possibly host name being the computer with the Printer Client installed on it - in Terms of these Shipping Connectors that functionality in the API is a must
Hi there,we work with a lot of Bandcamp accounts and use Spring Global as internatinal carrier. Often labels can't be created due to a lacking telephone number. Unfortunately this is not mandatory when ordering with Bandcamp.Other than asking Bandcamp to change this or Spring Global come up with a workaround, I had the idea to create a rule to contact buyers automatically if the telephone number is missing. I did something similar for countries that require an importer ID or other documents for receiveing deliveries from abroad.Only "Ship To - Phone" is not available as a condition (or consequence) to set a rule.Thank you for considering this idea.Best regards,Michael
Logging into the app is inconvenient and time-consuming. You need to log into the web app on a browser (session ends quickly if you use incognito), then provide 2FA in browser, and then log in again on the app. Short session length makes this process necessary most times I use the app. Please make it easier to log in or lengthen the session time before logout on the app. Thank you.
We are adding UPS's new shipping program called Simple Rate, we need this added to ShipStation.
Should be a simple way to create a return for a multi-package shipment that includes, you guessed it, multiple packages in the returns. Without having to split the shipment and do all that.
It appears ShipStation, as validated by tech support, does NOT allow users to edit the order items whatsoever when imported from a sales channel. I think this is nuts. The "Apply changes to open orders" does not even give us that magic override - it does nothing.This is crazy, as the owner or operator I know what is best for my customers - not ShipStation. If a product needs substituted, let me. If you're out of stock, and there's another idential SKU (or two SKU's) or a Bundle you want to send them instead, let us make that change on the fly.The only workaround we could figure is to deactive an out of stock SKU, then manually add bundle items, for every single order. Instead, if the system had let me update the existing out of stock SKU to a bundle, and then populated the bundle items to each order as implied by the "apply changes to open orders" selection, I would have been making customers happy instead of troubleshooting for hours.
I am aware that Shipstation offers a feature that recognizes same addresses to be able to combine orders and save on shipping cost. This has been immensely helpful, especially because there are alerts set up to help you identify these orders. However, as it stands, according to Shipstations Help center, "If using the [Order Number] field replacement for Label Messages, Packing Slips, or Email Templates, ShipStation will use the Order Number for the first order created."Although items from combined orders are shown in one packing slip, only the first order # of the combined shipments is displayed. This has has led to customer complaints stating they only received one order, and then they prematurely submit disputes which is obviously not ideal. Allowing for multiple order numbers to be displayed will negate this problem, and will enhance communication between buyer's and seller's.
Please add to the API the tracking URL for each shipping service. Currently the Shipper and the tracking # are available via the API, but not the carrier's specific tracking URL. This tracking URL is shown in the ShipStation web interface, so the info is readily available. Thanks.
A large number of our orders contain specific delivery instructions provided by Amazon buyers. Very often, these instructions are crucial to preventing delivery issues.Amazon's Orders API allows this information to be passed on. Customer made a mistake in their delivery address when entering order. Currently we have to update the address in Shopify, then manually update in Shipstation. This should be automated update into shipstation (just like a quantity change, or item add/delete).
Hi We've been on shipstation for many years now. We're moving into the wholesale business, and need to use Zoho for our CRM to best prospect and manage accounts. We need transaction data back to Zoho so we can see how accounts are trending, etc. Anyway - we're using Magento as our front-end, but Zoho Inventory for our ERP (and it talks to Zoho Books, and back to CRM and to Support - yada....) All in, we'd like to be able to book Sales Orders in Zoho Inventory (instead of Magento) and SHIP from Zoho Inventory. This is all a long request for Zoho Inventory integration into Shipstation - exactly like you do for eComDash or Stitch. (Zoho Inventory does also do marketplace integration and integrate to Magento, BigCommerce, etc... I see it being a serious contender in the future as the aforementioned Apps didn't work for us). When we have a shipment go to our 3PL, they sometimes need to split the shipment into two separate packages.On the 3PL side, it shows as two packages with two different tracking numbers.On our side, it never updates and continues to show one package.When customers call in, this causes an issue because we do not have the shipping information for the shipments.Please add some sort of syncing so that, when a 3PL splits an order, the shipping information is updated on our side.Thanks!
We would like to be able to run reports by master SKU. We use many aliases under 1 master SKU. sometimes up to 15 aliases per SKU. We have about 500 master SKUs. Sometimes we don't want to see all that data. We run this report most often: Shipments > Shipped Items > A list of items shipped during a specified date range summarized by SKU. We would love to be able to run this report by the master SKU instead of seeing every alias in the report.

Yesterday we have been using the redesigned ShipStation and have a need to print a UPS control log and that function appears to have been eliminated with the new design. Previously, we would click on "print" from the order summary and then select "Other" or it may have said "Other Documents" and it would generate a UPS Control Log for us to print. We've searched the new layout and cannot find where to do this. Support case open since Yesterday. Has anyone found a way to print UPS control logs for high value shipments?
There needs to be a way to go to the product record for a bundle, and create an over-riding Whse Location, so these packing slips and pick lists can print in a proper whse location sequence - regardless of what sequence the components are listed on the order form. (when choosing to allow the packing slip to show the components instead of the bundle name). As it currently works, all the bundles just print out in the beginning or end of a batch of packing slips, as if the Whse Location field is blank. (Similar to orders of multiple items in various locations).
I'd like to set up my pick lists in the same format as the packing slips - for instance move the QTY to the far left & sort by parent sku THEN warehouse location.
Our company Labels every single box that goes out the door no matter if it's with an unsupported carrier, local carrier, or free in-house customer pickup/Inventory. The labels include important information for our B2B company such as PO numbers, Starting and Ending Numbers, Custom Order Numbers Etc. Seeing that Shipstation will be integrated into our Order Entry System to supply notifications, Status and Billing Info we would also need the ability to enter the cost that should be provided to billing if at all possible for Courier and LTL shipments.More info on the ability to manually enter a cost. Would save time internally by leveraging the integrationLTL cost would come from another shipment scheduling program we have in-house (Eshipping)Courier Cost is usually quoted at the time of pickup and could be entered manually.Otherwise, we would desperately need a method to print labels with a service that is no cost and can be adjusted in billing at a later time for Pickup, LTL, Courier, and Inventory Orders. What are current User's utilizing for these cases?
There needs to be more criteria options when creating rules for the Rate Shopper. The most important for us would be to have the rule look at a "Deliver By" date on an order and select the cheapest option that will make it to the customer by the deliver-by date.An even better option is to say, if there are x days between the ship-by and deliver-by date, select this service/rate shopper rule, which could be executed through the automation rules.
Context:When Ebay orders are being imported, if the order has an open cancellation request, it does not get imported. This is fine, however even after the cancellation request is declined, the Ebay order will still not be imported.Why this is a problem:Sometimes, the seller works things out with the buyer and they want to un-cancel the order.Sometimes, the order is not able to be cancelled.Once the cancellation request is declined, ShipStation *still* does not import the order.Thus, the user has to manually import the order which can interrupt workflow.Potential solution:In our internal order management tool, we mark the order as "hold" if a cancellation request is open and "cancelled" if the cancellation request goes through. This allows us to reimport the order and set the status to pending if the cancellation request is declined.It's possible that ShipStation is only initially checking for the "CANCELED" and "IN_PROGRESS" responses from ```orders.cancelStatus.cancelState```to determine if an order is "cancelled" or not and then filters it on subsequent requests.
We are using the ShipStation Automation Rules in a number of ways, but most importantly to define the carrier/service we are using to ship certain orders. We have ShipStation connected to a distribution system and the automation rules are looking at the order information that system is providing to help us pick the most appropriate way to ship.When we update the shipping service in the distribution system, from Ground to Next Day Air for example, those fields are updated in ShipStation as well. However, we can't automate that this new service be used in ShipStation unless someone manually clicks "Reprocess Automation Rules". Basically, those rules are only being run when the initial order is created.It would be extremely useful if there was an option to allow Automation Rules to reprocess at the order level when an order is updated. That would make it so any updates to an order would receive the proper automation when it's time to ship.
We currently have to email them (and hope not fulfilled) if someone cancels an order or if we allocated in error (and they do not have inventory). There is no notifcation by email or alert of some sort when we cancel for them to know. If they are not in front tof their email they may not see to tell warehosue staff to not fulfill. Please refer to case # 8288869 for more details or request from us. Screen shots were provided of our cancelled order and a screen shot from them of their pending order.
I understand maintaining an API is not free but locking it behind a higher tier is not the way to do it. Please make API access a paid add-on like "Your Carriers". Having API access locked a away behind Gold Tier is cost prohibitive for lower volume users. We require the use of API to integrate with our proprietary software but are now required to spend an additional $90 a month for API access. Bronze Tier ($29 + $20 for "Your Carriers") vs Gold Tier ($99 + $40 for "Your Carriers")As a ShipStation user since 2015 we initially spent thousands to integrate our systems with the ShipStation API. We have been in business since the late 90's and as such use proprietary software for many functions. We are basically locked into using ShipStation unless we spend thousands more to integrate with another service. But spending an additional $90 a month for API access has us looking for alternatives.
We would like to be able to display customer messages or internal messages per order on the Scan to Print and Verify page while processing orders. Sometimes we have special packaging needs for different parts of the country and it would be good to have messages prominently displayed when we are packaging the orders.
ShipStation had a bug that resulted in my receiving errors b/c of a delayed shipdate when I went to create my label. It kept giving me an error and asking me to update the shipdate. I would do this and would repeatedly get the error. What I didn't realize until it was too late was that I was getting charged for the label each time even though the error prevented me from actually printing it. So I got charged $51 6 times and still didn't get a label. In resolving this ShipStation will not refund the money to me. They will only put a credit in my Stamps account. So my NEW IDEA is to refund money that was charged due to errors in YOUR system. With a $300 balance in my account I am now held to shipping through you and I have spent $300 more than I intended to spend this year. This policy is unfair and bogus and a way of you generating false revenue.
