Would like it if ShipStation can add line items under "Cost Summary" in the order display that show Duties and Taxes paid from Shopify. Is this possible?
Here is the challenge I have come across.I work for 3PL fulfillment house. One of our customers sells subscription boxes which can contain multiple different items. The subscription box itself has an SKU assign to it and when an order is pulled from the selling channel, ShipStation obviously doesn't know what the contents of this box is. This creates a problem with custom forms as the contents details can't be populated on the custom form automatically. They can be added on manually but who has time for this!I think the solution to this is to expand the customs info in the product detail card by enabling addition of more default customs declarations under one SKU. These can then be populated on 1 custom form eliminating the manual aspect...boom...now please ShipStation can you add this on? Pretty please!
I am looking for a way to get number of orders a customer has placed with us to show up on the packing slip. This data already lives on shipstation as you can hover over the customers name under "recipient" and view that total orders info. This would be a valuable feature so we could instruct our packers to reward loyal customers with gifts/notes etc and they would be able to easily see that on the packing slip.
Hi, We are new to ShipStation and just found out that they don't support different label formats for "label" and "return label". We want to use 4x6 thermal labels for our "label" settings when we ship orders out. However, when we get a return request we would like to use 8.5"x11" paper to send the label to our customer. I'm guessing ShipStation thinks their users are all including return labels when they send the orders out. We don't do that as we don't have that many returns. Any thumbs up/support for this from other users? I guess for now I will be creating return labels a different way.
I just joined ShipStation. After reading multiple articles about how to edit Custom Email Templates (for Shipment or Delivery confirmations), it appears this option has disappeared from ShipStation.All the explanations point to options that are not on our ShipStation Account Settings.Some of the vendors we work with use ShipStation and have customized email Shipment Notifications, so I know this is possible... or at least it *used to be* possible. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
It would be awesome if "number of orders" a customer has placed was a criteria for an automation rule that way we could easily tag repeat customers without having to look at their individual records and add the tag from there or making a list of our repeat customers and adding them to the automation rule that way.
We are trying to make a workflow for flagging repeat vs. new customers. There is no way to automate adding customers tags upon import, only order tags. This would be the ideal solution but the next option would make the process faster.With our current workflow we manually tag our customers profiles and use the automations rules to add a note to those imported orders that do not have a "Repeat Customer" tag to flag them for separate marketing material. Currently we have to go through all of our customers every week and make sure the new customers have the "Repeat Customer" tag added. To make this more efficient under “Customer” section would it be possible to make the "tag" column so it could be sorted? Then we could sort out the new customers that do not have a tag yet. If they were sorted then the untagged ones could be brought to the top of the list and bulk edited. Thanks!
Hi There. Our business unfortunately can't use shipstaion without being able to have multiple packages available for multiple orders. I would say that this is pretty basic. If I have 50 orders that require 2 boxes (packages), I would have to manually book on 50 orders separately, not a chance, far to time consuming. This is a shame as everything else is perfect. We do drop shipping for many customers and need to make the package look like it is shipping from our customer to their customer (even though we are shipping it). While shipping, we should be able to select "Other" from the warehouse field and manually type in a temporary "From address"
I've been struggling to find a way to utilize Shipstations branded tracking URLs with our email marketing platform Klaviyo to send the links to customers, outside of the Shipstation tracking emails. I think this would be an enormous value-add for Shipstation users, that already have access to branded tracking, but would rather use their own email marketing platforms to send the emails out. The integration with Klaviyo doesnt even pass back tracking information, only that the action of Order Shipped has occurred. Which really isnt very useful at all. These actions cant even be used to trigger an email to send the tracking number, since that info is not shared. With more companies like Narvar and Malomo charging upwards of $200 for a branded tracking page, which shipstation includes for free, its unfortunate that it falls short in how it can ever really be utilized. We do not want to use shipstation to send the emails, simply to share that branded tracking URL with the integrations that already exist. If someone has been able to figure this out using an API or some other way, I would love to hear how it was implemented. Hoping to see this feature rolled out soon! Major selling feature for Shipstation thats just not what businesses can utilize. *Would also love to be able to add a simple image banner to the branded tracking page for marketing. Not sure how that was overlooked as well.
Is there any plan in place to add UPS Worldwide Economy as an option to process orders by in Ship Station? There are multiple other options to ship by under UPS. We have these rates in our UPS account and it would save time to be able to process International orders choosing this service through Ship Station. Please consider adding this feature asap so that we don't have to look for other shipping software. Thank you!
All of my global shipping is via UPS WorldWide Economy. Please support this class of service!!!
It would be very helpful if the checkout rates provided through the store connection had support for conditions. In our case, we always insure any orders that exceed a certain value but the added cost of insurance cannot be provided through the store connection checkout rates. This means that for any high value orders we receive, we are footing the bill for insurance. If we could have a conditional for our checkout rates that basically says "If the order exceeds x value, add a flat fee of y dollars" or something similar that would suffice. If it actually calculated the added cost of insurance that would be even better.I believe this would improve the open-endedness of Shipstation and would benefit other businesses selling a diverse product lineup including products of lower and higher values.
We need for the date that an order arrives in ShipStation to be the source of the "Age" rather than the order creation date. Our orders come over from NetSuite once they are approved. Seeing the age as a reflection of when the order was created provides no value when we are trying to maintain a 48-hour turnaround from the date the order was approved. In many cases, the order is weeks old by the time it is approved, requiring additional steps to see the shipping activity that displays the date it arrived in ShipStation. This option would be a huge time saver and allow the ability to know how long an order has to ship.
I am really struggling to understand why these are inexorably linked in Automations.At the moment, we have about 50+ automations for 4 shipping options (all based on Requested Service) and 14 box sizes. Really, we should have 100+ but I gave up creating one for every single possible option and we just have to manually adjust every day. OR, since there is Service Mapping, let the Service Mapping stand alone and then be able to just make automations based on weight or whatever for JUST package size. Instead, Service Mapping forces you to either set a package--which then doesn't work for a large number of orders and you have to manually reset the packages or do an automation that also include resetting the Service, so what's the point of the mapping?--or skip setting the package, but then you cannot set JUST a package in automations, you have to also reset the shipping service, which then, again, what's the point of the Mapping? (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1421/4994/files/Service_Mapping.png?v=1753886861)If the two were simply unlinked in automations and Service Mapping (like they are in the order settings!) then Service could be set in Service Mapping or Automations and Packages could be set in Automations without having to have 4 different services for every package size and content combination.It's incredibly frustrating because we have done all the other things already.We have every product set with the shipping weight... but because the Shipping Service has to be set before you can set the package, we cannot default to a package and JUST let the Mapping Service do it's job. Plus, 75% of our orders have more than 1 product AND we have to have automations in place that end up overriding those single product settings because their weight ends up matching that of mixed orders. We can't use Tags because we have so many combinations of products in orders AND already use tags for other settings that Production and Fulfillment need to be able to access easily. PLUS, Tags plus weight based rules is essentially what we already do.We already use the Custom Fields to pass other vital order information through from Shopify.FINALLY, setting just package dimensions in automations DOES NOT WORK! The Service NEVER recognizes the package dimensions. Why even have Package Dimensions as an option when you have all these preset Custom Packages ready and waiting to be set????!!!It would be a total game-changer if we could just set up our box logic once based on weight, and let the Requested Service flow in naturally from the order data. No more duplicating rules for every combo. It’s such a clean and scalable approach.Please tell me I am not the only one who finds this incredibly frustrating and time consuming?Amy
You have "Reporting Categories" with NO reports? We need a way to do a report by category, I really don't see the reason to add "Reporting Categories" as a feature and then have no way to do a report even of sales that you can do/sort BY category. I wasted a lot of time thinking that reporting categories meant something.... PLEASE fix this and add the report part to this!
We use tags on orders requiring special handling etc, but once the order has a label made, it moves to Shipments.Tags are not visible in the Shipments grid and we can't sort by tag in the shipment grid.How can I search shipments for tags?Thanks to anyone with insight on this.
I have confirmed with the ShipStation Support Team do not appear anywhere in reports. This absence is quite frustrated ultimately these were shipments that occurred and if the user added details such as tracking and carriers these should be part of a report of shipped orders. Merely a column identifying them "Marked as Shipped" would empower users to run more effective reports instead of having to keep external records which are imprecise and time-consuming. The advantage for Shipstation is that it will make the platform more robust and "sticky" to users by allowing them to centralise their shipping workflows. Please consider for implementation as most of the work has already been done. Thanks
I have 1 carrier UPS that I cannot create labels for using ShipStation but pay to use the mark as shipped feature.UPS is at the bottom of the list and its a pain scrolling down the list on every order.Is it possible to an an automation setting / rule so that I can say if the shipping service contains UPS to set the mark as shipped carrier name to one from the list of available carriers?Also, can a config setting be created a bit like the shipstation connect config screen, where the list of carriers can be removed from the dropdown list options by selecting or deselecting from a list.Finally is there an API parameter that can be set when my magento order is delivered to Shipstation so that ship station knows that the carrier choice is UPS? or others if required.I did try creating a mapped rule, however even after setting carrier and package, the carrier name did not get picked up or recognised by the marked as shipped process.ThanksFrank

Hello - our business has found great success in facilitating domestic shipments in the US through Shipstation. However, we are coming up against limitations of Shipstation when it comes to facilitating international shipments. The specific limitation we are currently confronting is not being able to edit the importer (Sold to:) information on customs forms. Currently, Shipstation copies the recipient (Ship to:) information into the importer (Sold to:) information field. The Shipstation customer service agent that I chatted to about this let me know that some carriers require the "Ship to" and "Sold to" information to be the same, which is why Shipstation makes them the same by default. However, we need to be able to edit the "Sold to" field, because, in our case, the recipients of the shipments we are facilitating are not technically the importer of record. Because we cannot edit this field of the customs forms, recipients are being reached out to by the carrier (UPS) to verify importer information, causing delays in these shipments clearing customs. UPS's shipping software "Worldship" does allow for the "Ship to" and "Sold to" information to be different. However, we extremely prefer to use Shipstation as our main shipping software. Please resolve this limitation so we can continue using Shipstation for facilitating international shipments - thank you!
UPS ground saver currently does not show up in the rate browser when you are using your own UPS account. Support has confirmed that this is a short coming of Shipstation. This is a basic feature of any shipping software and should be resolved quickly. I should be able to see all the available rates from all my UPS accounts. I can manually select it in the service selection, so it's available, it just doesn't show up in the rate browser. This makes it an extra step if I want to use Ground saver to ship.
I would really like Automation rules to apply to orders awaiting payment and on hold. I have an automation rule that tags really large orders 'special order' when they are going to be made to order, rather than picked from inventory. My warehouse software SkuVault, is configured to ignore orders tagged 'special order' in ShipStation. However, because automation rules don't apply until the order is awaiting shipment, that critical tag isn't applied and my inventory is allocated in error. I would love to hear the counter argument for why automation rules shouldn't run for orders that are awaiting payment or on hold.
We ship a number of larger items using LTL carriers such as Estes, ABF Freight, Old Dominion, T-Force, YRC Roadway, and more that are not in the Carrier drop-down list. It would be extremely helpful to streamline communication with our customers if we could select the carrier name when we enter the tracking (PRO) number.Currently, we see the tracking number in ShipStation but "Other" for the carrier as too many LTL carriers are missing from the dropdown. As a result, the tracking number pulls across to Shopify and Amazon as carrier "Other" which means the customers cannot track their shipments. We can provide a list of carriers we use to increase the offering on the drop-down list if needed.
We have a warehouse in USA and UK, we want to use one log in to manage both sites but when it comes to add new couriers like Royal Mail they are not available in the list. How do we work this one through ?
