We would love to use Shipstation if it integrated with our couriers, or integrated with a third party who could help with more courier integrations. We use UK Mail, Yodel and DX.
The error message should tell you WHERE to fix said error. As it stands currently you have no path to fixing the error/how to trouble-shoot. For instance, I got this error message"The postal code is not valid for the selected Province. Please correct the postal code or select a different province." Ok fine...but where do you want me to fix this issue? After a chat with Support, she went into the order itself, and noticed that the city of Montreal was written the French way with an accent (it is a French city after all). She removed the accent, and that seemed to solve the problem. How am I supposed to trouble-shoot this on my own? The error message for one, was talking about a postal code/province issue, not a city issue, and I had no indication it was an error with the customer's address. It's very frustrating that when you get an error message there, as I have had a few times this week, it doesn't give you any indication of where it is you can fix the issue. I've had to start a chat with Support three times this week because the path the trouble-shoot the issue is so unclear since the update (and I say this as someone who's been using Shipstation for many years). In general, the update feels very buggy, I've gotten 3 different errors in the last week alone.
We have our SKUs set with a default shipping method, however, the default is only applied if there is 1 X SKU. If we have multiple of the same SKU, the default is not applied. We really need a solution to be able to set default shipping methods for 1 X SKU.EXAMPLE2 X SKU.EXAMPLE3 X SKU.EXAMPLE4 X SKU.EXAMPLE5 X SKU.EXAMPLE10 X SKU.EXAMPLE Etc.
Is it possible for different shippers on my account to have their own preference for label size? I switched to zebra printing but many of my drop shippers use full size paper and like to see the packing slip.
We would like to be able to upload a document that would change specific data fields on multiple shipment numbers after an order has been shipped. For example, we use the "to buyer" field in "order notes" to designate the specific fulfillment center in the network that the order will ship from. Sometimes, after the order is shipped, we are alerted that the order was actually transferred to another location. What we would like to be able to do is update all transferred shipments for the week with one upload that will change the data in the "to buyer" field for the shipment numbers we've identified. In our case, we have 9 different fulfillment center options.
Hello! We are looking for a way to track in the "Activity" when a tag is added/removed. Is there anyway this can be done?
It would be nice to have the option to configure a shipment around to see if a different size package would have been cheaper or whatever the case may be would have made a difference in the shipment. Likewise it would be nice to let the customer know an estimate on returning a package if they decided they wanted to and that estimate would help them make a decision on wether it was worth it or not. That was a plus in the legacy layout.
Those of us that use the rate calculator will notice how it's usefulness has been gutted in the new layout. Not only this but the drop down menu for each order for service and package no longer allows you to see all the choices. According to support the only way to see the choices for USPS flat rate, regional rate, etc are to use the rate calculator outside the order screen. This is the one where you manually enter all data to get a rate idea, then have to find your order and manually apply it.The legacy layout showed ALL options in the rate calculator along with ALL options in the drop down on a per order basis. There is no longer a simple and efficient way to add USPS Flat Rate or Regional Rate options to your orders. Please add these back to the rate calculator or at the very least make them options in the drop down for each order.
We would love to see where shipping options would be presented based on the state/zone we designate. An example would be if they are "checking out" and the state is California, we would want them to see Next Day and 2nd Day as options only. We are dealing with food and sometimes the customer still selects ground. We have a banner at the top explaining why not to select ground. We are shipping food so we would like to make sure the products are received quickly. The only reason Ground is allowed because we are in Massachusetts and most ofNew England next with "Ground" selected. We hope this feature is something that can really be pushed forward. You already are doing calculated rates based on the shipping address. This should be an easy thing to do on the shipstation side.
I'd love to be able to add more custom content to my branded shipment page. Specifically, custom copy where I can convey information about product recycling, etc as we are a sustainable-focused company. I'd also like different social links - LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok. Thank you!
I would like the option to have shipping labels automatically printed upon order import based on the automation rules we have programmed defining weight, package type and shipping service. This would complete the process for a truly "clickless" system.
Here are a few things I think are needed features in ShipstationNeed to be able to bundle different sku's together. Some of my products come in bundles and it messes with my inventory because I can't bundle it to automatically take it out of my current stock. You need to allocate orders for the inventory to show what products are "committed". It would be a lot better if inventory just showed what was already committed without the need to allocate. Or at least give the option for one or the other. This way I could just see what stock I'm negative in. There is no sorting feature for what is most important in the inventory section: On hand, available, or allocated. Should allow more options as to how to be able to view these different things. The custom field has a character limit. It should be unlimited like "note from buyer" for instance. Those were the main features I would love to see integrated into the system. I am currently using Shipping Easy and would love to make the switch to Ship Station, but I am finding it very difficult to do so when these features stated above haven't been integrated even though they two softwares fall under the same umbrella company. They should take from one another and make the best software out on the market!
Enable label messages to allow the order number to be included on return shipping labels. The outbound labels have document options—can return labels have similar document options? Or can the RMA number be replaced with the order number? The RMA #s you print aren't helpful, since they can't be integrated into our RMA system. But your system already has the information we need with the order number. Having the order number on the label would solve a huge problem for us.
Currently, I can sort the way labels and packing list print; by SKU, by Warehouse location, etc. I would like to have multiple options. For example, print labels and packing slips by order number (oldest first) and then print by Warehouse location, then by sku. I have labels and packing slips set to print by warehouse location which is a must for our operation but it would help to have packing lists and labels print by order number as well, especially when batch printing.
According to customer service, if I elect to sort my packing slip lines by warehouse location, it will sort the lines within each warehouse location by product name. There's no way to tell it to sort by sku within each warehouse location. This seems awfully limited. While this would work if every single sku had its own assigned warehouse location ID or if my products were organized by name, in my case I just have two separate spaces (in shipstation defined as warehouse locations) with the contents of each space arranged by sku. So there is no way to generate a packing slip that lists everything in space A first, sorted by sku, followed by everything in space B, sorted by sku. Is there really no way to achieve this? To me this doesn't seem that unusual a scenario.
Howdy. In V2, there was a small hyperlink named "labels" on the "Label Batch Status: Processed" screen (which comes up after clicking a batch on the Label Queue window) which, once clicked, took us to the Batch Summary screen for that batch. It would be *really handy* to have an easy way to get to the Batch Summary page from the Label Queue - even a button on the Label Queue entries themselves, would in fact be an upgrade from V2. I use the Batch Summary page to selectively print labels or an End Of Day summary form, so it's something that comes up every single day. Currently finding the batch I just printed involves clicking Shipments -> Batches -> Processed tab -> Click the number of the batch; a huge number of clicks & three different views, to get to a page which should be IMO just 1 click from the Label Queue window on the Orders screen. Thanks!
Would it be possible to integrate TST-CF Express as a new Carrier to your system. We use this carrier about as much as UPS, FedEx, Purolater and Canada Post, so this would an excellent addition for us.Heres a link to the web developement page: https://tst-cfexpress.com/content/web-services Thank you
I have orders that I ship outside of ShipStation (negotiated rates with trucking company for FTL or LTL shipments). Those orders appear in ShipStation as orders and I manually mark them as shipped. The problem is that they do not appear in the Shipments page. I run a weekly export from the Shipments page to generate my client invoicing, but these orders do not appear there. I would like to see the ability to show these orders on the Shipments page so I can report on all orders with one export.
I would like the price the customer paid to show up on the preview section - see attached. The previous version of the software did show this. (I do know that if you click into the order it shows the price, but that is one more step that is unnecessary).
After last upgrade, the shipments PDF is split by different ship from location to multiple PDFs, would you please at least provide an option to combine/split for this. thank you.
I have some feedback on how I would like to organize the UI while shipping an item, specifically while utilizing the sidebar. Example below. I would like to be able to drag and drop the fields. For example, we always ship from one major customer, through UPS, and they're always packages. We never use confirmation or insurance. So, the only fields we need to edit, and we do need to edit them on every order as most orders are unique, is weight and dimensions. I would like to open an order through the sidebar, and be automatically directed to the Weight input field, then I press TAB once to get to dimensions. UPS does not work with ounces and always rounds up, so ounces is redundant. Then, I enter length, TAB, width, TAB, height, TAB Create+Print Label. It would eliminate the use of the mouse and save me a significant amount of time while processing numerous orders.

When insuring a package, we want to be able to insure just the COST of the product if damaged or went missing, not the RETAIL VALUE. Currently your software takes the full retail value and uses that to determine the insurance amount. This doesn't make sense as shipping carriers will only reimburse you on the cost, not the retail value. This is a fault, as no system is set up like this. If I lose a $1000 item, but it only cost me $100, Fedex will only credit me $100. So why am I paying insurance on $1000 if Iêd never get refunded that? Iêd be spending like $10 extra on insurance, for an item Iêd never even get credited for. Lets update this right away. It's not feasible to manually change the insurance on every order for a bigger company. Thank you
We would like under Printing Setup options....that they label option has at least two filter/sorting options.....so, filter first by Location A-Z AND then sort by Item Sku A-Z......is this possible? Mark
It would be amazing if ShipStation could have lot tracking available for their native inventory management software. It's awesome we can track bin locations/warehouse locations but being a dietary supplement provider lot-tracking is very important to cGMP. If there is a way to build something custom into the native software to track lots I am all ears!
