I would like the option to send a branded email to my customers that their order is being prepared. That can be if the order is put into a shipment or you set a time limit to send the email after its received so we don't get as many questions about when the customers order will be ready or shipped out. It would be like a new status for orders so the customer can know that their order is being prepared and then they get sent the shipment notification and then finally they get the delivery notification.
Would love to be able to ship from Thailand to North America
Before the updated version of Insights, we were able to find the exact number of orders that were over our SLA within a given range. With the update, all we can see is a percentage, which is not nearly as helpful for the reporting and tracking that we do. Not only that, but the only functionality we have to interpret that chart is changing our SLA. While that is somewhat helpful, there is no way to hover or click and see what that exact percentage is past our SLA, or to know the cumulative number of orders that the chart reflects. Given the vagueness of the data that is currently presented, it's incredibly difficult for us to even calculate the value that we originally were just given before the update.
We use packing slips as call slips for the warehouse - it would be really helpful to be able to print these to a thermal 4x6 printer instead of a regular desktop printer, so that they can be printed out legiblyl in smaller format and used to pick orders.
currently, we can't modify the layout - we also cannot print to anything but an 8.5 x 11 printer - we need to be able to adjust print settings so that we can print to our mobile thermal printers that are in the warhouse (for packing slips too)!!!
We often use the "Order Returns" feature to leave comments and notes on why a customer is returning a particular order. When using this feature, you are currently required to process a return label. For our business, we often do not provide return labels, so having to do this can be costly and inefficient to us. We currently have to process return labels when utilizing this feature and in an effort to prevent our customer's from receiving those return labels, we have to remember to change the bullet towards the bottom from "Email label" to "Download label now". The only way we can ensure a customer does not receive a free return label in error is to change the bullet to "Download label now" which can be easily missed or forgotten. A return within "Order Returns" cannot be done, completed, or saved unless a label is generated. Ultimately, we would love if ShipStation could allow us to complete and save a return within "Order Returns" without having to process a return label.
My company has multiple stores and multiple new and old SKU's that we list under aliases. Having variations of SKU's creates confusion in our warehouse and results in orders being fulfilled wrong on occasion. Due to long positive history and traffic on certain ads, and listing restrictions on certain sales channels not allowing duplicate SKUs, deleting old ads and/or SKU's in not an option for us. It would be nice, and very helpful for continuity if we could print our orders while only showing the main SKU for an alias group. Example:"Product A" has aliases as "product a" "product_a" "product 1a""Product 1" has aliases as "product 1" "product_1" "product 11" Mixing up "product 1a" and "product 1" happens. If I could change a setting so when I print the Packing Slip to only show the parent SKU ("Product A"), it would allow me to have more distinct SKU names shown, and minimize the chances of any mistakes.
Many times over the last few years I’ve written in to ShipStation support to report a bug, or ask questions about important features that seem to be missing from the app, especially with regards to Shopify or carrier integrations. Every time they politely thank me for my ideas/suggestions and point me towards this forum so that I may write it all up again for the community to upvote the ideas. I’m guessing many of you are like me. You are a small business owner with a couple or zero employees, struggling to manage the operations of your business and keep it afloat during this pandemic. Maybe you have a family, or multiple jobs you are juggling as well. There are barely enough hours in the day to manage all that stuff, let alone find time to lurk on an internet forum. So here’s my feature request: ShipStation should create an improved internal process that allows support staff to capture feature requests when they are mentioned by users in support emails or chats. This would lead to a more accurate accounting of features requested by the totality of users, and not just the small percentage that happen to visit these forums. Thanks,Brad
Currently most automation rules only support if an order has ONE single item. Any more than 1 and the automation rules don't work. This doesn't seem like rocket science and it baffles me why this does not work! Shipstation themselves say they don't have any plans to integrate this, what seems like, should be a fundamental feature for automation rules.
I want the ability to disable the verify buttons in the scan to verify and print. This will require a user to scan all items in an order to then get the order verified and move on to the print portion. This is being requested to improve quality and reduce errors during our pick and pack process.
I was wondering if there was any way you could include Day & Ross on the “mark as shipped” list? I used the “other” as an option and when emailing the customer, the day and ross tracking number that I insert isn’t clickable. Communicating tracking information is very important and this seems like it would be an easy fix on your end.
Hi, We have a number of international customers of who require the freight charge to be added to the customs invoice. This would be very useful for all partys. thanks
Would love if Coupons and discounts were imported to QBO sales receipts as line items. Without this, the sales receipts are not helpful for my accounting purposes. It would be ideal to be able to use ShipStation as the source of sales receipt information to QBO.
When a customer buys in dollars or euros from our site, it doesn't go through to the customs forms as dollars - it generates in GBP. A customer in the US spent in dollars (under $800) which shouldn't mean they have to pay customs charges (as I believe it is set at $800) but it generated the customs invoice in £ (which then took the invoice over $800) and the customer has been charged $100 to receive their parcel. Please can you let me know why this has happened and if this is the case that all customs declarations will do this or is there a way in Shipstation to avoid this happening again? Ideally we want the customs forms to generate in the currency that the customer paid in so that we don't have to go in and work out the EUR/USD equivalents and change them on every shipment. I have noticed that it says to 'check conversion accuracy' but is this not something that is supported in Shipstation - can't Shipstation convert the currency into GBP if necessary?
We currently run 3 store in our shipstation. We are trying run a customer list in the reporting section. although they offer this report future there is no way of being able to determine which customer belongs to which store. Please make this a feature.
I have to do an excel every week for orders that are not delivered or pending or lost in the mail. ShipStation knows when orders aren't delivered because it will have the circle and ? mark instead of the check mark. I think it would be a wonderful idea if we could make alerts for every order that is not delivered in X amount of days and we can export it to an excel sheet.
Dropping this suggestion as I cannot use ShipStation going forward without it.Currently it is not possible in ShipStation to split a large order over 30KG into multiple packages. DPD allows multiple packages to be under the same consignment and there is no max consignment weight limit, so long as the packages are each under 30KG.ShipStation does not support this, as such for large orders, we cannot process them on ShipStation. This limitation needs to be removed to allow customers to ship larger orders.
Hi, I have shocked that SHipStation doesn't have this already but it would be great to to have the ability to put best before's and batches on when putting inventory in. We 3PL for supplements and it would make management of our client's products so much easier as we could run an aging stock report within ShipStation. Thanks
Can you please add the bundling/kitting feature to this program? Several of our clients have bundles and we spend a lot of manual hours taking the inventory out of thier platform to keep inventory accurate. More than half out orders are bundles.
This is crucial to the workflow of my company. Our contract with FedEx allows us free return labels if we provide the courtesy label with the original order. In this case we would want to print each return label simultaneously with the order label from the app but this feature is not currently supported. This means my shippers need their own laptop or need to find me to print the return labels with the order labels. If i set this as an automation rule form my computer then my workers printing from the mobile app get all sorts of errors when trying to print ANY label from the app.
It would be very beneficial to my workflow to be able to isolate out orders that have been added to a batch from orders that still need to be put in a batch. I'd be happy to give examples of how this would be useful but I believe it to be pretty self explanatory!
It would be cool if we could create an automation rule that allowed the combination of orders if certain criteria were met e.g recipient name and address. This would be very helpful with time spent on combining orders from customers who bought multiple items shipping to the same address and recipient name as opposed to manually combining orders.
We need to be able to keep the original order date when we physically remove an on hold order to awaiting shipment instead of shipstation automatically placing the order date as the received payment date. This causes issues with reporting.
With the desktop app you can send a multi-package consignment, but at the moment there isn't the ability to do that on the mobile app. This would be extremely useful as 99% of the consignments we send out are multi-packages.
WooCom will mark an order as cancelled if it goes unpaid for too long. Once marked as cancelled, SS basically ignores all data relating to that order. If the customer thereafter pays the order, and the order updates within WooCom to "processing," SS will ignore this update. This is a problem because, without the order updating in SS, there is no way to know that the order should ship. We are only alerted to the order when the unhappy customer calls. Please consider adding a feature that allows for us to check order status conflict between SS and WooCom to catch this so these orders don't fall through the cracks.
