We are facing a significant issue with the way shipping label charges are presented in our invoices/statements. Currently, ShipStation provides only a final total for our label purchases without a breakdown of taxes paid on individual labels. As a Canadian business, this lack of transparency is causing serious complications in meeting our HST reporting obligations.
Under Canadian tax laws, businesses are required to report and claim input tax credits based on clear documentation of taxes paid. Failure to provide this information may result in non-compliance, which puts us at risk of penalties and audit complications. We are concerned that ShipStationโs current billing structure does not align with these legal requirements, and withholding such critical information from Canadian customers could be seen as a violation of our rights under tax regulations.
Additionally, we have noticed multiple open issues regarding this same concern in ShipStation's community forums, suggesting that this is a widespread problem affecting other Canadian users as well. We urge you to address this matter promptly and provide a solution that includes a detailed breakdown of taxes paid per shipment.
Please advise us on how we can obtain this information immediately to ensure our compliance with tax regulations. We look forward to your prompt response to avoid further escalation.

We are having the same issue - we are not able to pull reporting with GST/HST properly broken out for labels. This seems to be non-compliant for Canadian businesses
