We ship live plants, which are temperature sensitive. Depending on the weather at the destination location, we use special insulated packing materials and heat packs. Currently, we have to search for the weather at the destination location in order to make a judgement about the best way to ship. This takes a lot of time and effort. It would be really amazing if there were the ability to pull weather information into shipstation. A simple high and low at the destination location would be perfect! Thanks for considering, Jesse
I organized our shop floor by attributing warehouse locations to each area. I did this alphabetically, creating over 20 zones. After this, I uploaded a spreadsheet to our inventory, attributing the appropriate warehouse location to each item in our inventory. We have about 800 items. This worked well uploading a .csv file and it was super satisfying to finally have success after many support ticket interactions. My goal in doing this was to be able to pick our orders in the exact order that they are arranged on our shop floor. The packing slip is my preferred document to work with when picking orders because it has all the customer and order information on it, including any notes from the buyer, which I have customized with css.I was under the impression that because there is an option to sort packing slips and pick lists by "warehouse location" that it would sort the products on the order by their location in the warehouse. This should absolutely be a feature for making it easier to pick items on orders. Sorting the packing slip by "name" and "quantity ordered" and the other data the packing slips could be ordered by DID WORK, which is why I made the assumption about warehouse locations being sorted by the locations we created.Anyhow, I think it would be AMAZING and would make it so much easier for businesses that have large warehouses with tons of product and for smaller businesses like ourselves that have a ton of different products and receive many orders each day to have the packing slip organize products by their location in the warehouse. This way, we aren't running back and forth picking items on the list that could be organized by location on the slip.Or, at the very least, products can be grouped on the packing slip by the same warehouse location?
When we are working in an order and weighing a package to calculate freight cost, it would be wildly helpful to have an option to automatically import the calculated freight cost from the bottom right corner directly into the cost summary section of the order. It would probably streamline everyone's work flow to have this as a feature. This way, we don't need to open the cost summary section and manually enter the shipping cost. It would eliminate a margin of error and make everyone's work flow more efficient. I cannot think of a case in which it would not be helpful to have a button to import the shipping quote right into the cost summary section. The freight cost needs to be there there anyway. Why not automate this?
With a sale on shopify, I may have to include more than one tracking number for an order made for a customer for a fulfillment. This is useful in the case of if I had to split an order. Allowing multiple tracking numbers allows me to update the customer with both in shopify.https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-rest/2023-01/resources/fulfillment
Recently we had a package that was returned to sender. The tracking information shows that we received the package, but we believe the package to be lost. Our team had not been regularly checking the delivery exceptions tab of the shipments page, so this order went into the error state without us knowing about it. If we could choose to turn on alerts when orders go into the delivery exception state, our team could have investigated and addressed the issue much sooner.
Hello, The low-stock threshold alerts would be massively more valuable if they sent an email notification, or even better if they connected with Slack to ping our inventory channel. Please implement something to handle this.
We have ShipStation connected to Shopify and Walmart.com. When we get an order for Walmart, each order item appears on a separate line regardless of if the same item is ordered more than once. For example, if the same item is ordered 3 times, then it appears as three separate line times on the label with a quantity of x 1 for each. However, when we print a label from Shopify, it groups the same item together and the quantity of that item changes to x 3 for example. This is causing picking errors because people are expecting each line item on the label to be a quantity of one. Is there a way to get Shopify orders to display each item on the label as their own line item even if the order quantity is greater than one?
Hi there, We use Royal mail as one of our shipping carriers, who offer an SMS and email notification as part of their service. Within Shipstation there is an option to select whether you wish to opt in for this service, which has to be done per shipment. We send approx 650 parcels per day via Royal mail, therefore takes a fair amount of time to do this manually per order. I think it would be a great option to allow these to be selected by default, or to be able to automate the opt in of these notifications. Many thanks,Dan
We offer our customers a variety of color and model options. When we open ship station in the morning, we use that data to write down what colors that need to be prepared for shipment. It would be amazing to have a mobile app that is like a check list that takes orders that ready for shipment, and put them in a check list so that when we pick the products that have already been built, those will go to the shipping area for packaging, while the remainder on the checklist shows us what the day's product builds need to be. This would be a huge help!
We sell on a couple stores that are Canada specific but we are ourselves are based in the US. When the order comes in from the marketplace, the customs declaration is created automatically like we need it to with the HS Code, description etc but the item value it pulls in comes in from the Canadian marketplace in CAD. We need to be able to have an order automation rule that tells it what currency the item value is in based on what store the order is from because as is, we cannot change it and it is locked as USD.This means in order to have correct customs information and not overpay on duty/taxes we are having to go order by order manually to update the item value to USD instead of being able to just say this number is correct, it just happens to be CAD.This is adding a lot of unnecessary time to our order shipping as our order volume increases.I have seen another thread about this too that is years old and this has not been addressed and so a new thread is in order to garner attention.Other thread:https://community.shipstation.com/t5/Orders-Shipment-Management/Please-fix-the-Currency-Customs-Declaration-feature-ASAP/idi-p/11060
We want the FROM address set to our domain so that 'via Shipstation.com' does not appear on gmail. We also want to include your spf/senderId records in our spf/senderId records, have the email signed with our DKIM key and have the links use our subdomain instead of email.shipstation.com. Here's how this works on a few of the major ESPs: http://login.mg2mail.com/help/Content/Listrak_Manual/Branding%20Settings.htm https://mandrill.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205582387-How-to-Set-up-Sending-Domains https://sendgrid.com/docs/Glossary/email_authentication.html This will significantly improve deliverability and professional appearance. it is possible to hide shipping cost from shopify owner account ?
We imported a bunch of orders from our old store (Magento 2) during migration to Shopify. As a result, we currently have 133k alerts based on our previous 3 years of order history. At the moment, we ca only dismiss 50 alerts in bulk. I have been a part of numerous migrations of companies that use Shipstation, and this is a reoccurring issue. Any ability to bulk delete these alerts, in quantities greater than 50, would be excellent. Even within normal weekly operations, we seem to generate hundreds and I'm sure other customers experience the same.
When integrating ShipStation to an ERP system, you might want to charge your customer an extra handling fee above and beyond what the carrier is charging. Example a 5% upcharge or a $5 fee per shipment.
The ability for us to to add a S&H Charge to a "rate browser" shipment or manual order is important. For example, we want to be able to charge $3.50 S&H to each shipment above and beyond the negotiated UPS/FedEx rates. This would be used when we have a walk-in customer or manual shipment to process (not an e-commerce order).
We need the ability to manipulate rates or show no rates for each user. Both UPS and FedEx have this feature in ups.com CampusShip and fedex.com ShipAdmin. We have many users and / or third party vendors that use our accounts and we charge them additionally or public rates when using our UPS/FedEx account. We need to be able add handling charges as a percentage or fixed amounts on top of base shipping charges. For some users, weâd like to hide the rates completely. This is common practice in shipping industry and weâre surprised you donât have that configuration option available.
We use Shopify B2B, and some of our customers are set up with Net30 accounts. We will need to have some orders move to Awaiting Shipment that can not be marked as paid in advance in Shopify. If we mark them as paid in ShipStation, it will move them to Awaiting Shipment, without the customer wrongly seeing that their order has actually been paid for.If we do not mark the order as shipped within 24 hours, or if we make any edit to the order, it will revert back to Awaiting Payment, and causes a significant amount of manual order management that creates a lot of room for error. If there is any way that an order can sit in Awaiting Shipment but not reload back to Awaiting Payment for any reason, that would be incredibly helpful.
Request to Add SKUs list to Shipping Cost Report.to calculate the shipping cost by SKUs.Thank you.
Allow users to select a UPS Call Tag when processing a return. These are for returns that were sent to a old address or wrong address. UPS will make 3 attempts to pick up for a fee. This is a function that we had when we were using WorldShip before moving over to ShipStation.
Why can we only see and/or select up to 500 orders or shipments at any given time? We import bulk orders and sometimes have to process up to 5000 orders in one sitting. This means we have to process up to 10 BULK imports. Why can't you just select to 'SEE ALL' orders or shipments?
Ship station should work out a way to ship multiple packages in a shipment when using one rate shipping and not have to split ship into multiple shipments.
I would like to change the document settings per user to help bifurcate the work that my team does. Here is my use case. Consider our company which ships orders that are type A and type B. We need packing slips for type A, but we don't need them for type B. If we leave packing slips on for type B, it takes my team twice as long to print them and it's a waste of labels/ink. When we print type B, we sometimes print hundreds or thousands at a time. We edit the document settings so labels do not include packing slips. During that time, the rest of my team is basically standing around because they cannot print their type A labels. If my other users had different document settings, they could print their labels with packing slips while not interfering with the Type B labels with no packing slips.
Working with third party suppliers who are fulfilling orders for us we need the ability to hide the unit $ and the total $.
I just updated to ShipStation Connect version 4.5.0 and it is good so far, but whenever I launch the app it forces me to login. I am sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have multiple employees and would like the 'remember me' setting! I don't want to have to log in every time I use ShipStation. ShipStation is great but please don't forget the small companies who don't need so many user settings...many of us are sole owners who want to use the app. without all the login rigor. Thank you for considering my request!
