Our shipping business is gift based, so the buyer is usually different from the recipient. The recipient is not the customer, the buyer is.
The buyer name field and contact information are not easily input or editable when entering a new order. If it were, we could skip using a CRM software and input everything directly in ShipStation. Buyer information can be imported via CSV, but then we would be duplicating data entry just to accommodate this set of fields, when we could be putting orders directly in ShipStation.
Even after importing with CSV, the buyer's full contact information isn't very exportable to use for future communication with them. It seems to appear on one raw data export and it lacks their mailing address and full name (depending on the storefront).
