Hi, in the API here: https://www.shipstation.com/docs/api/orders/list-by-tag/Would it be possible to add a way to list orders that don't have a tag?
Please add the Ship From field as a column option for the csv export. This is the only field that gives one of our shipping partners all of their shipments and it is only an option with the manual report exporting columns displayed. This should be a simple addition and should be available for csv reporting. Thank you!
ShipStation should be supporting all Amazon EU marketplaces such as Belgium, Poland, Netherlands, Turkey, Sweden. Why is ShipStation not supporting these yet? Some of these have been around for 2 to 3 years and they still are not integrated.
We ship apparel all the time and it would be great if we could integrate with our Deco Network pages.
We ship mostly with USPS first class and use light poly envelopes to ship items out which weigh .5oz-2oz. ShipStation allows you to have products to the tenth decimal, but when we use the automation features to add the dunnage factor of a .3oz envelope, we can only do whole numbers. This actually does make a difference in high volume/low profit businesses where a bump in first class price can make all the difference.
I would love to be able to determine product counts through the API. This allows me to do things like automatically order certain things as they run low on stock. We have different manufacturers sending products to a single warehouse and it is very tedious to have a manual process around checking that the quantity that was received was the proper amount, and that we aren't running low on things like packing slips.
I would like to have the option to choose a specific day of the week for an automation rule. For example, if the day is Saturday, change all of my FedEx Ground orders to UPS Ground.
Once in a while you'll get fraud orders to an address or just bad customers and need to flag their address to not ship. You can't flag their name since they use random name changers to the same address. We see this a lot with Columbia and US freight forwarders shipping there. We would just like to flag orders (probably a tag) that have matching addresses in a blacklist database. We have a red tag we manually mark them with when we see them, but they can be easily missed.
We need to be able to see an order was processed using the scan to ship. And that all products were scanned and confirmed for that shipment. This is so that if a customer complains of receiving the wrong products, we are able to review if the correct products were scanned in before the shipment. At the moment I am unable to confirm or deny if the correct products were sent, and if they were scanned in or not.
I am an Etsy seller and I encountered a problem when using the Shipstation API. The process is as follows:Please see below: I send a Post request:url = "ssapi.shipstation.com/orders/markasshipped"Parameters:payload = {"orderId": 491876446,"carrierCode": "sf-express","shipDate": "2024-11-12","trackingNumber":"9300120111412091388309 ","notifyCustomer": false,"notifySalesChannel": true}Description: The order number is: 3476386026, (orderId: 491876446, orderNumber: 3476386026) is an order from the etsy channel.notifySalesChannel is true, requiring the shipstation to notify etsy of the shipment, and the shipstation requests createReceiptShipment in the etsy api. The description of createReceiptShipment is as follows: Shipstation API request results:{"orderId":491876446,"orderNumber":"3476386026"}The shipstation UI shows:Etsy backend order display:From the above description, when Shipstation notifies Etsy to ship, when requesting Etsy API (createReceiptShipment), the value of field carrier_name is other, not sf-express. When I request Shipstation API (Mark an Order as Shipped), the value of field carrierCode is sf-express, maybe Shipstation has filtered it. I would like to make a request to you. Can I pass the same value of field carrierCode to field carrier_name of Etsy API (createReceiptShipment) when requesting Shipstation API (Mark an Order as Shipped), instead of other? Are you willing to develop this requirement? My functional requirements are as follows: When requesting the Shipstation API (Mark an Order as Shipped), I hope that Shipstation will pass the same value of the field carrierCode to the field carrier_name of the Etsy API (createReceiptShipment). For example (assuming that this order is on the etsy platform): When I request the Shipstation API (Mark an Order as Shipped), the value of the field carrierCode is "sf-express". When Shipstation notifies etsy to ship, I hope to pass "sf-express" to the field carrier_name of the Etsy API (createReceiptShipment). Because currently, if the value of carrierCode does not exist in the ShipStation UI, ShipStation will pass "other" to the field carrier_name of the Etsy API (createReceiptShipment). Hope to get your help, our business really needs this function.
Can you please add a feature to send a package via UPS' carbon neutral program? UPS offers a carbon neutral shipping program that costs between $0.20-0.50 per package. This should be an option when purchasing the label, similar to Saturday Delivery, Insurance, etc.
In our business we have multiple forms of insurance on our shipments as we sell a lot of laptop computers and need to make sure it is safe. Within our FedEx Account we have discounted rates and special policies so we only need to apply a set amount of insurance to each package as it is cheaper to insure it for more or less than the sell price usually. The current option in Automation Rules only allows you to set the Insurance to Carrier, ShipStation Insurance or External/Other. The ability to set the amount of insurance on the shipment as well would really help us speed our shipping process and i'm sure others as well. So using a Filter to check the Order Total if it is Higher or Lower than a set price we would use Automation to adjust it to what we need. Example Sell a product at $699.99. Order Filter: Order Total is greater than or equal to $500, Order Total is less than $1000. Automation: Insure the package with Carrier. Set insurance amount to $750.
It would be great if ShipStation could add some international carriers, DHL, UPS, FedEX for Australian customers. There are many businesses here such as ours that have a larger international audience than domestic. We have found UPS is the best courier-based carrier for United States exports, however only Easyship offers rates, but Shipstation has a far superior product. We found UPS Australia far too difficult to work with directly, there focus seems to be on very large clients.
I'd like to request that "mark as paid" be added to the automation rules as an action option. We have net30 invoiced orders that need to be shipped but are currently getting caught in shipstation as unpaid and unavailable to ship. We have to keep up with these and manually mark them as shipped which is a total pain. If mark as paid was an option for automation we could easily automate this task.
I would like to request to add the requested shipping method to the pick list or at least as an option to add. It would help our employees (who don't have access to ShipStation) select the correct packaging when processing orders. For example, if a customer chose USPS Ground Advantage for a small item but a USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate box is a perfect size, our employees would use that box because they didn't know that the customer chose USPS GA. I'm sure this would help a lot of ShipStation users 😊
Looks like update only. Why is there no add product, in the API?
If you get this error "CancelIndicium called on an old transaction" on a shipment there is no way for the user to delete the shipment. Customer service says they do not a method currently to circumvent that issue in order to remove the shipment record. Please fix!!!!
Why in the world is there no button to view a label that has been printed/created? Even in the shipstation tips on how to "view" a label says, click on "Print Label"... then click again on "Print Label" and if you do not have a printer automatically setup to print your labels, you will be surprised with a popup window that allows you to view the label or download it to pdf. But if have a printer attached to the workstation setup to automatically print your labels (which I am guess most do) your out of luck. No way to view a shipping label you already created or printed... ..on software that creates shipping labels. How in the world could this slip past? Come on man. do better.
Hello, I'd like to request for the ShipStation blogging team to update this old article, because its recommendations are hard to follow. It seems it was last published in 2022, but since then, 2 of the recommended printers have been discontinued, and the third one was never recommended for ShipStation Connect, which we use at our offices.
It would be nice if you could preview a label without generating or purchasing. Sometimes our team wants to customize the label format and view the layout but currently the only way to see your changes to a label is to process an order to shipped, purchase the label and then void the shipment.Thank you ShipStation Team!
Trying to import a csv from Kickstarter to shipstation, but a necessary option on each item from the KS survey doesn’t translate, which means we have to do it manually. This defeats the purpose of shipstation, if I have to go into each order and edit it manually. Is this problem being worked on or do I have to move to Easy ship and learn a whole new platform?
Hello, trying to maximize efficiency in our warehouse and reduce steps and clicks, and we just moved to this shiny new shipping platform to help us. It's been working pretty great until we reach the point of selecting scales and printers, and ShipStation Connect is baffling us. I would love if it was just integrated into the base platform - make the whole software an app if you got to.On other shipping platforms, and most applications, it detects the local scale and printer on our device and autofills. No need to select from dozens of "shared" devices (if you unshare the device, it also disappears from your local list?). In ShipStation, you cannot see any of your devices without opening and logging into a separate app. Please merge these functions; work smarter not harder!I understand the device sharing might be super helpful to other organizations, but that should be an add-on feature, not the default. The result is dozens of duplicates of the same computer, same devices, just under different logins. We have dozens of hourly and seasonal workers visiting individual shipping stations, and setting up their ShipStation, ShipStation Connect, and configuring their devices every time is MADNESS. We cannot expect this level of tech savviness from this type of job. As an IT Admin I have to configure the same scales for "high capacity mode" DAILY because someone new is logging into a station they haven't used before.Unless I am missing some far easier way to mitigate these problems, this is how it was introduced to us. Please help!
Hello Developers,Right now it seems you guys give access to the Branded Customer Portal upon shipping confirmation.I would like to request that we send it 1 step ahead at the order confirmation. Why?Customers are calling us and asking for the information that is kept on this page. We have other things to do in the day than just answer phone calls from customers wondering where there package is.Uber solved this issue by just showing users where the car was.I'm calling on you to help us MERCHANTS have the same UBER experience. Please allow us to show our customers the status of their orders when they confirm with us.What will the status be you might ask? IDC - make it Awaiting fulfillment, then fulfilled, then shipped, then delivered. It should not be that hard to do this - if you won't do it, please let me have API access so our team can build it inhouse.Either way, I think this is a small fix that will have a HUGE result in customer satisfaction.Thank you.
We ship tons of packages to Amazon Canada from the US. This delays EVERY SINGLE shipment we send to Canada by several days. I also don't understand the point of a digital commercial invoice if we cannot attach our NRI# to this, which causes the shipment to get held, someone from customs reaching out to inquire why we didn't include our NRI# and waiting for us to send it back for them to release it. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
Allowing scripts in packing slips would enable vastly more powerful customization. You could reference external data from a server e.g. serial numbers. You could implement complex customs declarations and make the packing slip match. For example, if you have an item you donât want to make a declaration for, such as an add-on or surcharge, it currently still shows up in packing slips, which customs officers may delay approval over. You could do arithmetic and so much more for custom tabulation.
