We currently use the ChannelAdvisor Order ID as our ShipStation Order number, but we still need a way to access the original channel order ID (such as Amazon order number, Shopify order number, etc.) to print on packing slips and send in email notifications to customers. This field is called the "Client Order #" in the ChannelAdvisor connection settings page. Currently, we can choose between "Channel Advisor Order #" and "Client Order #" when setting up the connection between ShipStation and ChannelAdvisor. This means both fields are available in the connection between ShipStation and ChannelAdvisor. We can also request that ShipStation support map the "Channel Advisor Order #" field to a custom field in ShipStation. Unfortunately, this support mapped feature is not available for the "Client Order #" field. It seems like this should be fairly straightforward to implement, and it would have a massive impact on our ability to use ShipStation for shipping notifications. Ideally we would have this available as a secondary order ID field, but just mapping it to a custom field would be a big win!
While on the Orders page, in the past, we used to be able to use the arrows on our keyboard to go down each order while the Sidebar stayed locked to a certain place in the order details. In this case, I used to keep the Sidebar on the "Recipient" section down below to show the customer's address, then use the arrows on my keyboard to quickly scroll through all of my customer's addresses with one button to fix any issues to prevent errors while purchasing labels in bulk. Now, when I try to move down through each customer on my keyboard with the arrow on my keyboard, the Sidebar takes me back to "Shipping", which is at the very top of the order details section. I have to hover my mouse over the Sidebar section of the screen and manually scroll down to the "Recipient" section for each order. Something that used to take 1 second now takes 5. It's not a big deal, but it does add more time to our process of verifying addresses before purchasing postage. ShipStation support has confirmed that freezing the Sidebar has been removed. If that is true, re-adding this function should be relatively fast and cheap to do. It was a real time saver. Thanks!
Hi I pay for recurring weekly UPS pickup, however I had to reach out to Shipstation to see how much I am paying. It took a few weeks, multiple emails and phone calls to find the answer. It would be really nice to have that information somewhere in my account and billing. So I could see for myself how much I am paying as well as having invoices or receipts for tax purposes.
It would be nice to send an automatic email to the customer when an item that they ordered was placed on back order. Or when an order is split, so that they know why only part of their order is shipping, and not the complete order. Thanks!
I think there should be a way to sort by status unknown just like you can sort by delivered or in transit etc both on mobile and browser mode
There is no menu for "Shipping Service" on the Other Actions>Mark As Shipped screen; only the "Carrier" is there. Which causes value "Other" to go to Amazon and marketplaces, which is incorrect/invalid and causes us issues with our account and penalizes our score, and puts our entire account in jeopardy! Please add this much needed simple menu. ("USPS First Class Mail", "USPS Priority Mail", etc.)
It would be great if ShipStation had the ability to select different printers for a particular type of label. The main use case would be around CN22 (4x6 labels) and CN23 (8.5" x 11") labels and routing these automatically to either a thermal label machine or a standard inkjet printer. At the moment, you can only auto route labels to a singular printer.
Hi! When Carrier Pickup works, it's really dreamy. However, sometimes, the carrier doesn't show up or perhaps misses the notification. Or... perhaps the person who said they created a pickup didn't *actually* do it or do it correctly. Whatever the case, it would be helpful for us to have a History Log of all pickups submitted and/or completed. Users could review that their pickups had created and picked up, and 30 days worth of history would be perfect. Can this be considered? Thank you!
Apologies if this suggestion has come in before, but I don't see it. We are attempting to have our customer service reps use ShipStation now to form shipping quotes (instead of using individual shipping entity tools for that purpose). Your Rate Browser works great for single packages, and easily allows for comparisons between our shipping accounts. However, we often are dealing with shipments of several packages per order. With most other such tools we have used, the user can enter in a multi-package shipment (including the parameters for each individual package). And, ShipStation easily allows for this when making labels from a given order form. Would it be possible to add that sort of functionality to your Rate Browser, so that a full shipping cost could be seen for a multi-box shipment?
I run into issues every month when completing KPIs. The filter options differ on the Orders tab and the Shipments tab. For example, I like to go off of ship date rather than order date as that is how we are billed by the carriers. However Filter by Ship Date is only available on the Shipments tab > Shipments. I would then love to be able to filter this by tag but that filter is only available on the Orders tab > Shipped. I could give you many more examples but that is just one to start. Also, why are the column options different? We utilize the Custom Field 1 information but the column is unavailable on the Shipments tab. Such a pain! There should be the same options on every tab.
We are looking for a feature in ShipStation to be able to calculate the package dimensions within the custom packages that we have set. Ultimately I think it would be helpful to have a way to include the package dimensions either on the packing slip OR the scan to verify and print screen based on the cubic calculation. We get a lot of multi-sku and multi-quantity orders so the product defaults don't help us as much as we would like. Does anyone have suggestions on how to accomplish this given the current ShipStation parameters?
When a split order is opened using Safari, you’re not able to scroll to see order 2 of 2. Scrolling does not work inside an order.
When having multiple ship from locations it would be wonderful to be able to set the ship from to be where the item exists not just where the order is from. This would be wonderful as it would reduce shipping needed to send one item from a warehouse to another to be shipped from the same location, as well as it would reduce wasted time spent looking for an item that does not exist in that warehouse.
It would be so helpful to us to have the ability to work with batches in the ShipStation mobile app. Just like the filter for stores, a filter for batches would be a great addition. Thanks
For Aus Post/StarTrack Orders - Under Shipments > End of Day Currently, you have to close your orders off by shipment date or by the date the labels were printed on. This could lead the users to overlook manifesting for some orders if they were only doing this process weekly. This should be displayed as a general list, per ORDERS > AWAITING SHIPMENT (as an example). A filter option feature could then be added, so the user could filter by day. It would be handy if you could just automate this process, under your automation section.
Currently we can create an automation rule to set the ship by date as X days after an order is placed. It would be great if we could set X working days as an option instead. We are not operational Saturday and Sunday, and don't want to include them as part of our regular dispatch schedule.
We've been using Shipstation mobile recently in an attempt to limit the number of desktop computers we use in our shipping process. One feature we are missing is the ability to use a scale on an order (via shipstation connect). Can we add this feature to Shipstation mobile?
We need a feature that will automatically send our customers/recipients a notification via email and/or text if their address is invalid or missing apt/suite #. This will improve fulfillment speed by reducing the time it takes to contact an individual and await response. If you sell products B2C like I do, it will improve customer retention since we tend to lose customers due to not being able to ship on time or because their packages constantly are 'returned to sender'. Not only that but it will save shippers a ton of money by reducing the number of packages that need to be re-shipped due to address errors.
Would it be possible to integrate with Whistl as a new carrier - they can offer us a much more favourable rate compared to RoyalMail/Hermes, which would save us thousands on our delivery costs.
USPS has started New Service USPS Connect™ Ship station still behind and has no option for us to use it. IT IS very cost efficient, One has to go to USPS directly to print the shipping.. Any change your team is working on it already or can WORK on it thank you
When attempting to use the Rate Browser, it throws the following error. "One or more providers reported an error. Province required to obtain Canadian rates. Please note, UPS Canadian rates can only be retrieved when a specific order is selected." It would be great if we could use the rate browser to browse rates for our carrier. The browser does not allow for entering a Province in as is required by UPS. Can we get this working so that I don't have to create fake orders just to see how much it would cost to ship a package?
I am sure that there are many ShipStation customers that would welcome a notice when there is an issue on ShipStation, instead of starting a chat and finding out that ShipStation is aware and working on it!!!Also, I never receive a notice when the issue is fixed!
My customers address and error messages are truncated. If the left side would collapse or disappear (info there is useless to me), then I could have larger text viewing and see the entire address and entire error message for unvalidated addresses.Get rid of the hard code that makes this useless info appear, and usefull address info truncated.
When importing orders via a CSV file, please add the ability to import a Ship Date for each order.
Love the branded returns page, however we'd like to have the option to customize more to our liking. 1. Allow us to modify and change reasons for return 2. When reason of return is "Other" have a notes field for customer to enter details of return 3. Ability to disable certain products from being allowed to be returned
