I have several stores that I use ShipStation for, and it has been very helpful to have all the store orders in one place. However, today I tried to mail a $28 order, and I was unable to use the included $100 insurance for USPS Ground Advantage packages. Under the new ShipStation guidelines, I have to purchase insurance through ParcelGuard, which, for a $28 package, was an extra $1.09. Three of the stores that I have in ShipStation are mostly orders under $100, which leads me to wonder why I should use ShipStation now. I can print my labels through eBay and get the free $100 coverage that USPS offers for a cheaper price. If my shipping costs are cheaper with eBay and I don't have to pay the monthly ShipStation fee, why should I continue to use ShipStation? I wanted to share my thoughts because you may not have been aware of how the increase will affect some businesses.
