Hello,
We are very good users of the combined orders feature because of our shipping needs. We realized recently that any combined orders that are not the surviving one will not update any changes made in Shopify.
This can create inventory discrepancies and cause customers to receive extra products or incomplete orders.
E.g.: Customer places two orders, they then decide to cancel one of the orders, which is done in Shopify to refund the customer. Depending on the order used for combining, this might not update, and the customer will receive the items in excess. The same goes for an order where a customer added a product and paid for it.
With the volume of orders we have, the shipping department cannot take the time to validate every order in Shopify, and updating the store will not update those orders.
Would there be a way to either force updates on combined orders (the child one, not the main surviving order) or to have the update store also update those orders?
Please let me know if this would be possible.
Cheers,
