Packing Slip

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed that the default packing slips include an extra “related products line” that shows additional information on the description section under each item. In my experience this creates unnecessary confusion because it makes the slip look like there are more items in the order than there actually are. This can lead to mistakes when packing and shipping.

I was told the only way to remove this is to upgrade to the Silver plan so the packing slip can be edited. That doesn’t feel very logical or fair. Showing related products or even a description section, should really be an optional feature that merchants can turn on if they want, rather than something that is forced by default.

It would be much more user friendly and accurate if this line were something we could enable or disable ourselves without having to upgrade plans just to remove it.

Thanks for considering this feedback. I think it would make the packing slips much clearer and help prevent errors.

It sounds like your related products are being linked to the [Item Options] field in shipstation.  See if you can setup a custom field mapping or send the related products info into a different field that is not being used by shipstation's default packing slip. I've created hundreds of packing slips for shipstation users and data mapping issues are common.

It sounds like the related products from an item in your store is being mapped into the [Item Options] field in shipstation. Follow up with support and ask them if you can change that mapping. As far as customizing packing slips, yes, you need to be on the Sliver or Standard plan. I've created hundreds of packing slips for shipstation users and data mapping issues are common.
