Report of products in orders awaiting shipment

I need to pull a report of the number of units of products that are in orders awaiting shipment. While there isn't a solution for this in insights, I was able to get what I needed this way:

In the orders grid, select Awaiting Shipment.

Selecting all the orders (if that's what you want).

Choose Other actions/Export.

Open the exported file.

You should see a simple report of all of the orders waiting shipment, broken out by product:

Then I just did a simple pivot table, and got a sorted list of products.

If you print a pick list & have the settings sum your pick list by item - you should be able to print it directly from the orders page!

I"m responding without having gone into SS and trying this -- I'm looking for (and think I found) a summary *across all open orders* -- does your solution allow that?

not seeing a way to select all awaiting orders and print a pick list the "sums" as you indicate.

Yes SS only allows you to print the pick list by order status, status (on hold, awaiting shipment, awaiting payment, shipped, cancelled). To set this up go to settings > printing > printing setup > select "summarize by SKU". Then in the order page > select all > print > print pick list.
