Ship by Date Custom Filter Option

In awaiting shipment orders the filters on the Ship by Date are very difficult to use.  Could you please just mimic the same filter options you have for Order Date for Ship by Date.  At a very minimum having the custom option would be great.  As often I get wrong results when I use the X Days ago or ahead.  The order date filters are much easier to use and get results that we need.
