This one is extremely annoying. We have two accounts we ship from. one a sure post account that is managed by one of our customers. The other is our normal shipping account. The automation rules won't let us select our customer's account to ship from under the action type "Set Carrier/Service/Package". So our shippers have to manually have to change the service from our account to a service under the sure post account. We need to be able to select any service from any of our accounts in the automation rules. it's absurd that only the default account can be used in the automation rules. But any account can be selected when the order is opened.

This needs to be fixed.

Please fix this! I can't have customers being overcharged shipping costs because UPS thinks a shipment originated in a completely different state!

Hello @CzarinaEl!

Welcome to the Community! We’re so glad you’re here. This is a great place to find answers, share feedback, and suggest new product features—we hope you find it helpful and inspiring!

I've checked with our support team, and the good news is that this is possible! To apply a specific shipping account beyond your default using Automation, you’ll need to use the “Charge Shipping to My Account” action.

Here’s how:
1️⃣ Create your automation rule with the Set Carrier/Service/Package action.
2️⃣ Add another action for “Charge Shipping to My Account.”

This will override the default shipping account and automatically apply your chosen one, saving you time and keeping your workflow smooth.

One of the support agents was able to provide me with a video on how to achieve this.

I hope you find this helpful! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance in any way.

@CaraAdmin This thread is directly regarding using a clients (3rd party) shipping account.

If a 3rd party is used, the resulting tracking will reflect the default carrier account. The address for that account is when the carrier assumes is the ship from location. When it is not, additional charges are added to correct each shipment because we can't be billing a shipment that may interstate as if it were cross-country or vice versa.

The requirement of a default account should be removed or at the very least updated to allow a default account to be set for each warehouse or ship from location.
