Yes, I've spent hours assigning each product a specific carrier based on the UPS/USPS zone, but that is only accurate about 50% of the time, so in the end zone automation does not save us any time at all.
A simple automation rule to select the cheapest carrier between multiple options would save me about 2 hours every day.
