Packing Slip Sort Options

Is there a way to configure the Packing Slip sort order other than what's shown in the Packing Slip Setup drop-down (SKU, Name, Item Quantity, Warehouse Location)?

 

Ideally we would like one of these methods:

1) Sort by last 3 digits of the SKU

2) Sort by product type

 

Any ideas or input would be very appreciated. We are willing to pay for programming help to make this happen.

We also need this.  Seems like it shouldn't be that difficult to add a secondary sort dimension.  For example, if an order has 15 different products from the same shelf, it would make sense for (after sorting by shelf), to sort by the product code so that the picker can pick from left to right rather than jumping all over the shelf at random to fill the order.
