Specifically, this feature could include the ability to track packaging types (e.g., a 10x10x8 corrugated box with a 32CT rating) and the corresponding weight of each material (e.g., an 8x8x6 corrugated box weighing 7 oz). With this data integrated, the system could automatically adjust the shipment weight based on the selected packaging type. This adjustment could be applied through the "Shipping" dropdown in the sidebar or the "Configure Shipment" option within an order.
Such a feature would provide several key benefits:
