Can the Gift Note text be sent to the right location in the Order Notes?

Hello! I was advised to share this here after chatting with Ship Station support.

When we get orders that have gift notes, the note appears in the Customer field with some other data. We then have to copy and paste the gift note into the This is a Gift field. Is there a way to make that gift note text go directly into the This is a Gift field?
