This round of Release Notes includes a small handful of updates and bug fixes.
Improvements
Features
- Multi-Package Shipments: We have updated the interface so now If you create a multi-package shipment, the Package drop-down in the Configure Shipment Widget will gray out the same way the Weight and Dimensions fields do. This prevents you from accidentally selecting a different package type and having to repeat the multi-package selection. Previously, if you adjusted the package type after setting multi-package types, it removed the multi-package selections.
Integrations
Carriers
- Evri - Courier Pickup Service (UK): You can now create a label using either of Evri’s Courier Collection services (Evri Domestic or Evri Postable) available in ShipStation. Once you create a label, we will automatically send a pickup request to Evri for the following business day. The collection cost will include the label fee. To change or cancel Courier Collection requests, you must contact ShipStation support. Cutoff time for collection is just past midnight. For example, if you need collection for tomorrow, the latest time you can submit the collection request is by (24-hour clock) 00:59AM on 25/05/23.
- Your Carrier Accounts - Updated the title on the onboarding screen to ‘Add Your Carrier Accounts’ so that it is clearer for new merchants adding their own carrier accounts and so that the title is consistent with other areas of ShipStation.
Bug Fixes
Features
- Create Label button — non-local delivery shipments: We corrected an issue so that now the Create Label button will read, “Create + Print Label” as expected for the order details on a shipment with no service selected or a non-local delivery service. For shipments that do use a local delivery service, the create label button will read, “Schedule + Print Label”. Previously, the create label button incorrectly read, "Schedule + Print" for shipments that did not have a local delivery service selected.
- Safari versions 15 and 16 - You can now log in to ShipStation. Previously, after logging in, ShipStation would not load completely with these version of Safari.
- Shipping Strategies - The lowest carrier rate is now selected for all configured shipping strategies. Previously, some strategies would not select the cheapest shipping method when calculating rates.
Integrations
Carriers
- Loomis Express - Schedule Pickup requests (CA): We have resolved an issue with sending pickup contact email in Schedule Pickup requests so you can now schedule a pickup request for Loomis Express, as expected.
- ParcelGuard insurance with USPS Ground Advantage: We have fixed a bug so you can now select ParcelGuard and the rates to insure those shipments load when shipping with USPS Ground Advantage. Previously, you would see the rate error, “ParcelGuard does not support insuring shipments" when trying to get a rate for USPS Ground Advantage orders insured with ParcelGuard.
- Purolator Canada (CA) - You are now able to create multi-package shipments using the Purolator Ground service. Previously, an error would be thrown "Nullable object must have a value" for all multi-package shipments.
- Sendle from ShipStation (AU) - We have resolved an issue so that you can get rates and create a shipping label using Sendle 250g Drop-Off Service. Previously, an error would prevent you from seeing rates or from creating the shipping label.
- Evri from ShipStation (UK) - Fixed an issue so that all Evri rates will now display in the rate browser. Previously, an error message, "An error occurred calculating rates. No applicable services were available for the configured shipment" would prevent the rates from being displayed.
- Post Haste (AU, NZ) - We have fixed an issue so that you can get rates and create a shipping label using Post Haste. Previously, an error would be thrown preventing rates from being displayed: ERROR MESSAGE: Invalid sender address (Validation). Invalid sender address (Generic). (520, ac91291a-dfa9-495e-946c-3b7d905fc548)
Selling Channels
- Magento orders and Service Mapping for ShipperHQ: We solved an issue with Service Mappings for Magento orders so they now import correctly with ShipperHQ. Also, these orders now display the correct Requested Shipping Method in ShipStation's Order Record.
- ODBC
- Orders show “Country Code”: We're now trimming the country values from the ODBC data source before attempting to parse them into a country code. Previously, despite country being present on the order you would see an error message, “Country Code” should not be empty, even with the country already present in the Ship To address information.
- Table drop-down on postback: We fixed the table drop-down on postback in the ODBC app. The table now populates, as expected, if you set up a data source with either postback to new source or postback to same source option selected. Previously, when you got to the mapping screen there were no columns to choose from.g
