Hello, I am hoping someone can help me out and answer some question I have? I have recently been put in charge of our shipping. I need to understand how I am being charged? I understand Shipstation bills us monthly. I understand that I have to keep my SS balance funded to be able to print labels. My question is why on my statement I see the funding associated to stamps.com? Why also am I being billed by Endicia, is that stamps? If I am not using USPS a lot, do I even need a stamps.com? I am being billed for the funding of labels, and I am also being billed by UPS for the labels. Is the ability to print labels the charge that SS or stamps is charging me? I was on the phone with Shipstation, but he couldn't answer my billing questions. Frustrated and confused. Any help would be amazing. My email is: john@xproducts.com

Hello @johnxproducts!
First, welcome to the Community! We’re so glad you’re here. This space is an excellent resource for finding answers, sharing feedback, and suggesting new product features—we hope you find it helpful and inspiring!
I see you connected with our support team, who provided answers to all your questions under ticket #8718756 for your reference.
To make things easier for other merchants who might have the same questions, I’ll share both your questions and the answers from support in the community.
Q: “When you say UPS by ShipStation versus UPS, because my UPS account is tied to ShipStation, I am not being charged for that label by ShipStation?”
A: That’s correct! If you use your UPS account, the charges go directly to UPS. Your ShipStation balance will not be affected, and your UPS account balance won’t display inside ShipStation.
Q: “UPS by ShipStation is coming from my funded labels?”
A: Exactly. UPS by ShipStation uses your ShipStation balance, meaning the funds you’ve added to your ShipStation account.
Q: “When I reviewed the Shipping Cost report for last week, I saw the provider: UPS and UPS by ShipStation. What’s the difference?”
A: Good question! When you run a Shipping Cost report, you’ll see separate entries depending on which account you used. UPS by ShipStation reflects shipments billed through your ShipStation balance, while UPS reflects shipments billed directly to your own UPS account.
Q: “Because your company uses so many payment providers, we could see charges from any of the following: Endicia, Stamps, etc.?”
A: Yes, that’s right. You may see charges from any of those brands depending on the carriers and providers you use.
Q: “If I stop using Stamps as a provider, would I still be able to print labels through Fishbowl?”
A: You should still be able to print labels. That said, could you clarify whether you mean:
Stamps, as in ShipStation-provided carriers, or
Your own carrier accounts?
Also, if you’re asking about creating labels directly in Fishbowl (without ShipStation involved), I’d recommend checking with Fishbowl support, since their capabilities may differ.
Happy Shipping!
