Bundles and tracking information

Hello,

I sell kits of chrome wire products on amazon, walmart, and target.  These kit SKUS are made up of component skus.  Amazon doesnt have the ability to list component skus, and when the bundle feature was created on shipstation, i thought we could use Shipstations packing list to make the kits, show the component material.

Now when we fulfill these kits, its not writing the tracking information back to sales channels.  So the order references the bundle sku, and upon fulfillment in shipstation, it no longer writes the tracking back.

It was for a while writing it back, but now it has stopped. So I'm not sure its directly linked to the bundles or not, but it would seem that way.

Help!

I started having the same issue late last week, thought it was a fluke but I'm seeing it consistently on any item where I've used bundles to change the SKU so it can be interpreted correctly in our inventory system. We sometimes have to use a different SKU on Amazon compared to what's stored in our system. I've been using bundles for several months, and this hasn't been an issue until the last few days.

I just started having this exact issue last week. Got dinged for the late shipment on ~20 bundled orders, but I could thankfully eat the error with all the non-bundled orders that processed correctly.

Are you guys just manually entering tracking right now, or did you remove all the bundles?

Doing it manually right now. I'm hoping there's a fix in the future.

I am also just entering it manually, its a pain but at least I'm not losing sales by removing the bundles. I opened a support case and they say its a known issue that they're working to resolve asap, haven't gotten any updates on it since it was opened.

This might be our bug, but Amazon's feature.

Amazon doesn't like us to kit or bundle products. They want you to have a distinct product (think a 2-pack that's inseparably sealed together) with its own UPC code. If I try to fulfill an order (FBM) that originated from Amazon and I use Amazon Shipping as the carrier, the shipment is completely blocked.

I'm not sure we will get a fix because this issue might come as a request from Amazon.

Its not just amazon.  It was working correctly for a while as well.

Huh. It doesn’t have a problem sending bundle tracking info back to Shopify for me. It’s just an Amazon problem for me.

The problem looks solved on my end. I shipped 25 bundled orders today, and all of them sent tracking information to Amazon.
