Online store in squarespace
Using UPS for ship station
shipping to all 50 states from the Albany, NY area
I sell a perishable product that needs to be delivered in the continental US in no more than 2 days.
my square space store is automatically set up for UPS 2-day shipping based on dimensions and weight.
This is fine for the west coast, but closer locations it simply drives the price up for the same delivery day.
For example, if someone ships their purchase to NYC a 2-hour drive away no matter whether the product is shipped overnight, 2-day air or ground it is arriving at the same time due to the close distance. Obviously ground is cheaper.
How can I set up to have the rate optimized meaning to choose the cheapest option if the arrival is going to be 2-days or less?
I am not sure if this needs to be set up in square space or ship station.
thank you.

Hey there @pieman,
Thanks for joining us here in the community!
I know that we have some features in the works to help with this idea directly.
Until they are rolled out, I may recommend the use of some Automation Rules to flag orders that have a state/city/postal code that you know you can still meet your shipping requirements with via UPS Ground.
I hope this helps!
