Would be beneficial to the customer AND increase efficiency if SS could automatically select the carrier service with the lowest transit time. Transit times for ground vary wildly. For us shipping to Califonia can be 2 days with USPS, 4 days with USPS, and 5 days with FedEx. Shipping to our own state could be 3 days with USPS and 1 day with UPS and FedEx.
Its crazy how awesome SS could be if it just started pumping out customer suggestions. A guy can dream right.
