It would be great if my team could complete orders that are being picked up by the customer without having to manually go to the orders tab and go through the "other actions", "marked as shipped" process.  

Can there be an option for "no shipping label" in the scan feature?

I second this. We have a lot of local customers that pick-up and there is not an option to choose "pick-up". We have to go through the "marked as shipped" and choose "other" which counts against are shipping totals.

Thank you for the post! I checked in with the support team, and they said that this is, in fact, already a feature that ShipStation offers. You don’t have to enter a carrier or tracking number to use the mark as a shipped option, so just select the order(s) > Other Actions > Mark as Shipped.
