Ability to further customize what each user sees in ShipStation (Shipped, Cancelled tabs on the left side of page) When we have people join our shipping team, I know that ShipStation can be a bit overwhelming. So the simpler and more straightforward the layout, the easy it is to train people. What it accomplishes: Easy way to train new employees.

Some employees are not able to reliably combine orders and I would love a check box to be able to remove the ability to do that based on the user's skill level. I need the shipping supervisor to be able to do it but not the shippers. Combining errors usually manifests when they combine orders which shouldn't combined be as: -Orders going to reshipping center -The same customer orders a small item paying for overnight and a large item with free shipping shouldn't get the large item with overnight shipping -Orders are combined with completely incorrect orders due to error I know everyone with a growing shipping team has had these situations.

Our store has 3 shipping locations with 3 users, one master user for head office, and 2 highly restricted users. The restricted users can only see orders assigned to them and shipments created by them, however when they go to process the End of Day report, they can see ALL the orders that were shipped at all locations, and even close our manifest. This is highly concerning not just for the security factor of them seeing our orders, but they could accidentally close our manifest as well. There is a setting to change the view so they can filter the orders by location, but by default "All Locations" is always selected. My first suggestion is that there needs to be a user management setting that restricts their End of Day access so they can only close shipments created by them. This would be the ideal solution as we would prefer other locations not able to see all the orders. If that's not possible, it would be beneficial to be able to set their default view so that when they click the End of Day button, they see only orders at their location by default. This would create less chance of error on their part, as they would have to manually change the filter to see and close orders from other locations.

It would be immensely helpful to be able to restrict specific users from being able to edit, restore, or ship orders that are not in "Awaiting Shipment". Restoring an order that is on hold, shipping an order on hold, or moving an order into awaiting shipment are all things we would like to only have available to specific people. The person shipping the items may not be in a position to make those choices and may (and do) accidentally ship orders they shouldn't. Being able to place a restriction per user regarding what actions can be performed, or what folders they can access would be great.

We would like to restrict users from running a manual order refresh per store. Currently, any user can refresh orders manually and disrupt batch updates. Such access should be permission based so that we can restrict unauthorized users to download orders without schedule. Such permission assignment should be possible to apply per store NOT a blanket application across all selling channels.

If a user is restricted to viewing only orders assigned to them, they're unable to create orders. In a multi-user setting, this is problematic, as users dashboards should not be cluttered with orders not assigned to them - but it should not restrict them from being able to create shipments! We should be able to allow users to create shipments, while at the same time, restricting them to only seeing (a) orders they create and (b) orders assigned. Right now, to allow users to create orders, they must also be able to view all orders (unrestricted) - a major problem!

This is definitely something that needs to be addressed. As more companies turn to omni-channel for order fulfillment, each location should be isolated to their own shipments for End Of Day manifests. We have 13 Users (locations), and any one of them can accidentally perform an End Of Day for All.

We do not want our additional users to make "create return labels" on shipstation. We have different return policies. Can this be blocked when customizing the user permissions? Currently it is not a feature.

We would like to see a Permission setting to restrict a user from creating Manual Orders. Manual Orders is a powerful feature as anyone can ship anything anywhere without any restriction. Currently any users with Order Management can create Manual Orders. This creates a risk of shipper creating manual order with no restrictions.

Some users need to see only the orders from a specific selling channel

We would love to be able to hide customer emails and phone numbers from certain 3PL partners we have as separate users in our account. Thank you.
