We use Shipstation to manage fulfillment for a great number of big box retailers. We figure out in advance which carrier to use and what shipping method and then use the Shipstation API to generate the orders in Shipstation. From time to time, warehouse staff accidentally and sometimes purposely override the carrier and service sent in the 'create order' api. This causes lots of problems because the proper entity is not paying for shipping. We are a high volume user and this seemingly simple request is not supported in Shipstation.
The request is for us to tell Shipstation at the 'order level' that the carrier and service and or billing cannot be changed by the user, therefore LOCKED.
Lastly, if the Shipstation account has automation rules they need to respect the LOCK feature we are asking for.
