Dear ShipStation Support Team,

 

I trust this email finds you well. We've been using ShipStation for our order fulfillment needs and have been pleased with its functionality. However, we have identified a few areas where enhancements could significantly improve our operations. I would appreciate it if you could consider the following suggestions:

 

  1. Barcode Scanner Integration for Order Fulfillment: We propose the addition of a feature that allows us to fulfill orders using a barcode scanner. This would streamline the shipping process by enabling us to scan products scheduled for shipment. This feature is crucial in preventing errors related to shipping the wrong quantity or product in an order. Ideally, the system should update the order status to "Partially Shipped" when fulfilling only a portion of an order and then transition to "Fully Shipped" upon completing the entire order.
  2. Purchase Order Module for Incoming Stock: Introducing a new module for purchase orders would greatly enhance our ability to track incoming stock. With this feature, we could generate purchase orders for vendors, and the system would automatically register the incoming stock upon receipt. This streamlined process would contribute to better inventory management.
  3. Committed Stock in Inventory Module: It would be beneficial to have a "Committed Stock" section within the Inventory module. This feature would allocate stock for all incoming orders, reducing available stock accordingly. This ensures that the available stock accurately reflects what is truly available for new orders.

 

 

We believe that implementing these enhancements will not only improve our overall efficiency but also contribute to a more accurate and streamlined order fulfillment process. Your consideration of these features is highly appreciated.

This is the biggest request yet.  ShipStation has given us the ability to create Barcodes for shortcuts; however, they are useless in V3.  According to the helpdesk, V2 had the ability to use a barcode scanner to complete the order. 

Scan to verify and print, scan to select package type and scan to select the shipper. then scan to print label well that a was not carried over to the new version... this is a major failure. to not carry over at least the functions of the last version to the new version show that the software development did not care about the end user.   Sad...because it is a good product.  don't feel too bad they did the same thing with the API.... Oh well

I would like for shipstation to include a picture of item sold in order alerts. It does for Amazon, but not for Walmart Marketplace or eBay. I often need a picture to recognize item sold.
