Adding an image to the order footer of a packing slip

Robert222
Rookie

I have seen a couple of discussions on this but none of them have fixed my issue.  I'm trying to put a QR code in the footer of my packing slip.  The URL comes from shopify->settings->files.  I copy the link where the file is.  I place that link into the code section below [Shopify CDN URL].  When I preview the packing slip or do a print preview, I get a box frame the size of height and width specified that is blank.   Everything I read was straight forward so I'm not seeing what the issue is.

Is shopify CDN accessible from shipstation?  Also, if I put a non-existent path for the URL I get the same thing so debugging this has been interesting.   Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the bottom code from the order footer section of the packing slip.

<p align="center" style="font-size:11px">[Packing Slip Message] </p>
<p align="center"><img src="[Shopify CDN URL]" height="373px" width="373px">
</p>
<p align="center">
<barcode size="small">[Barcode]</barcode>
</p>

Thank you!

Hey there @Robert222

Thank you for posting in the community! We are thrilled that you've joined us.

I am totally with you about that QR code showing up blank when going to print. To me this likely means that ShipStation doesn't have access to the image. As a potential solution, an alternate image hosting site could be used to host the image to ShipStation. I know that we have had many users find success with "imgbb" as that hosting site.

If any other users have insight to whats worked best for them in this instance, please feel free to chime in!

I hope this helps 🙂

any update on a solution?

Hey there @rarepearlbtq

I'm hopeful that another image host was a good solution for @Robert222 for this instance, but if there was another answer to that puzzle, we would love to hear all about it!
