Does anyone else notice automation rules not always applying? I use them to apply third party shipping accounts to my shipments but it's not 100% reliable.

This type of Automation Rule behavior is usually rule/account specific. We definitely want to check into this behavior, but would need more details to figure out whats going on. I would recommend reaching out to our support team with a screenshot of the rule that you are seeing this happen with, and a couple of example orders of the rule working and not working respectively.
With this full knowledge of the situation, I am confident the support team will be able to get to the root of the behavior you are running into there.

I'll reach out to support next time it happens but it happens randomly and not rule specific.
